Alright alright, I'm sure we've probably had threads about this, but I was reading from multiple sources about how Tomlin was "thinking ahead" to the Patriots game and how horrible it is. This is probably a result from the pregame show where Tomlin was talking to Dungy about the Patriots. Now, I don't know how much I actually believe in them "thinking ahead" more than I think Dungy baited Tomlin into the conversation, but I had an interesting thought in what if they are thinking ahead?

If they focus more on the difficult/bigger games, instead of entirely on the next game itself, they must have extreme confidence that they should beat these weaker teams with less preparation, leaving themselves more time to prepare for the more difficult/harder to beat teams. Thinking about it, the Steelers usually do beat the bad teams in very close games, and they tend to beat the good teams (excluding the Patriots), sometimes even pretty handedly. So maybe they do plan ahead?

With that being said, last night's game was more about the Steeler's defense allowing wide receivers 3 free TD's, the dropped balls on offense, and the refs seemingly choking on their whistle for anything Packer related. Dungy even said multiple times during and after the game that they practice the same way (dropped balls, missed tackles, etc).

I didn’t read/see all of the interview, but from what I did see it wasn’t about the patriots. It was about what tomlins thinks this team is capable of. We have the talent, depth etc. to win the Super Bowl this year.
