I was on twitter and these so-called bloggers come up with the dumbest crap one guy said the Steelers should draft Brandon Weedon with the 24 th pick, I didn't even read the whole article because it's ridiculous. Another guy said he understood if Mike Wallace did what Desean Jackson did last year with the Eagles pouting and not playing hard. I sent him a message and told him Wallace would get benched if he pulled that crap with the Steelers.

lol I've seen mock draft that have us taking Jerel Worthy or Devon Still and talks about how we need a DT to replace Hampton. I'm like you obviously have no idea how a 3-4 NT works.

The Steelers Way is not Rocket Science, but for those outside Steelers Nation, or even those who see the "trends" that other teams follow, it is difficult to understand. However, only one team has been DOMINANT for over 40 YEARS - and they've done it following the same formula no matter WHAT the era. Have there been down times? Of course there have, but the numbers do not lie and tend to bear out that the way the Steelers do business works no matter what the trends in the NFL are.

I got a good laugh out of my boss when he was here last week. He was telling me how he thought free agency was the way to for building a superbowl team and not the draft. I started laughing at him and asked how that had worked out for them over the past decade! He's a cowgirls girls fan and that shut him up really quick. It's obviuos what the Steelers do works, but for some reason every other team just wants to sign big name's and win the superbowl on paper every year!!! :herewego: :herewego: :herewego:

We can all thank Chuck Noll for "The Steelers Way" because until he came here and got this place ship-shape with dominating defense a solid running game and core hard working character players through the draft this organization was nothing to boast. Maybe the owners were great people, but they learned a recipe and kept cooking up a timeless formula.

I love the dominating defense philosophy more than a dominating offense for one reason alone. Defense can score points! This as well as stop the other team from scoring. If the offense has to reverse its job and play defense then something bad just happened. Watching that mid to late 90's defense was so fun. There was a very good chance EVERY TIME they took to the field that there was going to be a turnover. It was so exciting to watch and VERY intimidating for the fans of other teams. They never felt great with the ball in their control.

While this current era of our defense ranks up there in the league standings with the 1990's defense, it's because of a slightly different model. Now we just smother them and don't let the other team move well, Since Troy isn't in his prime anymore INT's a very low and last year hard hitting turn overs were few and far between. The 90's were insane. Think of Harrison's TD in the super bowl. 14 point swing in one play. That won the game for us as much as anything else. Love defense, it scores.

Here is another thing with this whole 'passing league' stuff. Let 'em, all of them, develop that way. Good. Then we can have our choice of running talent while they are watering down the passing talent. Kind of why our 3-4 defensive style worked so well for so long and now it's getting harder to draft guys that fit our system. Defensive coordinators will be focusing on most other teams philosophies and styles other than dominating running styles. It will keep us in a winning way for a long time doing what the majority of the rest of the league doesn't do. Most of the league sucks. It's usually only the top 10 teams that are something to worry about anyway, the bottom 2/3 are not what we want to be emulating.

The Steelers have the proper formula and they know exactly how to manage it. The idiots who do not understand how this organization operates are just oblivious, especially thinking that free agency is the way to build a champion. Just ask last years dream team (Iggles) how that worked out for them!!
