Wow. Something tells me that this won't have the desired effect of spurning jersey sales like I'm sure Nike had hoped. I'd rather them go with a completely different color palette than these things. Here's hoping they let us know ahead of time what games they'll be wearing them for, so I can be sure not to get tickets to those games.
Or, maybe there's a silver lining. Maybe the tickets will be cheaper for those games.

 

I hate these uniforms, but my nephew loves them. He wants a timmons jersey this year and just informed me he wants this jersey. Anyone know when they will be avalible? thanks

 

Oh, I can't wait to hear all the jokes about this one! Seeing I live in Cleveland, I'm gonna hear crap all year about the fricking jerseys.

 

Those things are a mess. The current throwbacks are way better.

 

You are right about that Boomer and I think the current throwback jerseys are also really ugly as well. Or maybe it's just the helmets. Yeah the helmets are DEFINITELY atrocious.

 

I don't know what's worse, that uniform or a Jonathan Scott spin move. Oh god, please don't ever let me see a J. Scott spin move IN that uniform...

uh oh, based on this early black & white concept pic we'll have antennas sticking out of our all leather throwback helmets.

 

I actually like them! They may be "ugly" by today's standards at first glance, but they have a couple things going for them:

-They DO look old-timey. That is the point of a throwback, right? They are totally out of the great depression. When I first saw them, I could practically smell the leather helmets.

-They look like rugby uniforms to me, and rugby is a pretty badass sport.

I'm sure this is a hopeless cause for most people, but I think if you give them a chance and think of them in the right light they'll grow on you. I liked the throwbacks we've had recently (I love the gold helmets), and I despise the ones we had in the 90s. Although these ones have stripes too, I think it's in a totally different way and these aren't in that league at all.

 

He is going to look like a Michelin advertisement.

 

I saw an AMC Gremlin the other day that looked "old timey". It was hideous.

 

Well so far from what i read only b. Batch likes them zays he's striping the afro when he wears them. I liked the ones we had i think these are horribla and the striped socks are ugly and just make it worse

 

As usual, I'm in the minority. If you are going to do a throwback jersey then it needs to be something radical. Last year's jersey where it was just black with yellow print was horrendous and boring. I like the fact that this jersey is different and crazy. What the F is the point on doing a different jersey if you aren't willing to do something over the top? I'll definitely get a no 7 throwback. Luckily based on the appeal here, I'll get a great deal on Ebay.

 

I like them, I'd buy one, but $100 is serious coin these days to drop on a jersey.
