Instead of making my useless threads every week I'll just update here.

We played awful. Penalties held us back big time... and we still won vs a division opponent on the road! I feel great about that.

Bens super bowl teams won close clunkers vs bad teams, remember that.

Health health and health. I'm worried about tuitt, as we all are. We can afford to miss him some weeks but hopefully not the season. At least it wasn't Ben.

Why us? Screw that narrative, look around all teams are dropping like flies.

Depth is important and so is luck.

Special teams did well, let's keep that up all season.

Bell will get his groove back, so will the O line. Ben will continue to struggle on the road.

Just win baby and stay healthy. That's the narrative, on to the Vikings

Agreed on all counts, except I think we saw an improvement in red zone offense today. Three tds, no fgs, one ugly pick. That's better than last year on the road.

I still question why Connor wasn't involved more because of Bells struggle. The way he was playing I wouldn't have hesitated. Yea Bell needed the rust knocked off of him but he should have done that in the preseason not in the season opener.

Just a little update on a critical piece of our defense mr tuitt. I have hopes for him to recover

It's as if the universe does not want us to be full strength. Can never really see this team full force on our strengths on offense/defense. Ben, Brown, Bell, Bryant and Tuitt, Hargrave, Heyward.

Connor had only 11 yds on 4 carries, so he wasn't doing any better than Bell (his yd/ carry was worse than Bells) and he didn't have the 'rust' excuse.

I thought Conner atleast looked explosive. Bell did not. But there's no denying Browns Dline gave it to our Oline. That part of it isn't on Bell, but still, Bell was not ready to go.

Wait...24-36 236 2 tds a 95 QBR is struggling on the road? I know Ben has a track record for struggling on the road in recent years, but I wouldn't say he struggled yesterday overall. Wasn't lights out, but he played decent.

Bell was clearly not in football shape. Thankfully it was vs the Clowns and not a good football team.

More specifically Danny Shelton and Larry Ogunjobi did quite a number on Foster, Pouncey and DeCastro, Ogunjobi being more impressive due in part to his impressive snap count.

I agree with your pre season theory, but as I have said in previous threads, AND I LOVE James Conner,
he is not in the same league as DING DONG. If he gets 8-12 touches per game I will be happy. Can you hear me Todd Haley?

Doctor is in, tuitt officially will miss 1-2 games. This is critical to our defense. I feel Cowboys and Patriots breath behind us for their quest of 6.

He can miss both of them for all my sympathy is concerned.

So long as we beat both Minnesota and Chicago, we will be fine.

Getting Tuitt back onto the field 100% is top priority.

happy with today's win. Scared about Watt though, but I think he will be ok. We only got 2 sacks but our pressure was there quite a bit. Our offense will pick it up soon...

Just read on a bears forum that Glennon will be the starter. This is good, I don't care we are facing crap qb's just stack the wins. We will get a rude awakening vs a good qb, but will only make us stronger.

Yep. Neil O'Donnell played a great game. I remember it like it was yesterday. Steelers racked up a lot of points.
