I agree totally. I'm just saying that Troy's presence back there accounted for a lot and it's basically unreasonable for us to expect the FO to just pick up another safety that could ever live up to that.

 

Ike was really really good. His lack of INTs makes his play less memorable, but he was a great corner in his day.

Ryan Clark was a helluva safety in his prime. Always in the right place and would hit.

 

I think it is important to note it took Ike about 4 years to become "IKE" .... There were some bust rumors going around early on with him. Burns sort of is like a young Ike... crazy athletic, but really raw.

 

He never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

 

Did Ike ever make a pro bowl?

Yes it is, enough said here on Ike. Good ball player just as Heyward is a good ball player But nothing fantastic.

 

Had Ike caught those picks he'd be one of those on the bubble of HOF worthy in my opinion he was solid

 

Prediction: Golson makes the 53 and is placed on IR. Activated around Game 6. Sent out for coin toss. Coin lands on his foot. Crowd of 98,000 holds its collective breath, and ... he survives! Has breakout year.
