Pats buy 2 jets

For only $10 total? They have to be $ ahead with teams paying $4 million just to charter jets. Plus NE can rent these out when they team isn't using them. How many Pats fans (and corporations) would love to pay to fly on a Pats jet?

Not to mention, a major perk for the players as all seats are first class. Seems like a no brainer to me.

 

I've been thinking about buying my own jet lately as well. Flying commercial is such a crappy experience these days I'd rather just drop about $20 million or so on my own plane and avoid the horrors of commercial airlines these days.

It costs a dollar a second to rent a commercial jet. Buying a jet is way more than that. It's way cheaper to just buy tickets on a regularly scheduled flight like they used to as late as the 90s. When you charter, the thing you are saving is time. Certainly not money.

 

James Harrison doesn't need a jet, away games fly to him.

The Patriots have been videotaping other teams' pilots flying, so they have their pilots all prepared.

Read an article about this. Apparently price of charter flight are increasing. One factor is that FAA is requiring major costly upgrades to older planes that are the staple of the charter business. Other companies have apparently decided to buy their own planes and stop chartering. Article suggested that other sports teams might well follow the Pats lead.

 

Not to be out done, jerry jones probably already has his order in for a 747...........By the way those planes cost a hell of a lot more than 10M a brand new plane could cost as much as $200 million. ...........
