You can bet that the League is going to be monitoring it for sure but I say why chance it and dump them all together and go old school and let Ben be Ben and go school yard.

It's amazing the amount of crap that the Patriots pull and get away with it for the most part (slap on the wrist punishments). No other place do teams have problems to the extent that it almost mirrors a high school game with technical difficulties than at Gillette stadium. You can always expect the unexpected.

I think it's mainly due to the fact that Rex lost there so much and would slam his headset on the ground. LOL!

I've been worried about this since it always happens at Foxboro. I'm glad Tomlin is bringing it to the light before the game. And you know the Patriots' communication gear will work just fine for them.

Can't use something like that as an excuse - as a HC you should be prepared for all scenarios.

Maybe they should allow Martavis back for this one game and they could communicate with smoke signals?:facepalm:

Didn't they try to say during that game that they were also having communication problems themselves?

If I remember correctly, the Steelers would report the issue and when they would go over to take NE's system away, then the Steelers system would come back working correctly. I thought this happened several times.

I believe the rule is...if one team is having issues, then both teams lose the system.

It was just "magical" every time they went to take the system away from the Cheats...our system started to work perfectly.

You know how fast Blount would be on our sidelines?

They could use Blount's bong. Or get Bryant on the sideline

I learned this prior to the 2007 AFCCG:

During the regular season, the home team is responsible for all communication setups. During the post-season, the NFL brings in its own crews for those setups.

Kind of explains how/why the Ravens and Chargers could routinely go into Foxboro in January and give the Pats fits.

I said this when it first happened - we should go in there with a plan to communicate without the headsets. Hand signals, smoke signals, whatever works. Assume they are listening in, which I wouldn't put it past them to do, and you should be one step ahead. That's called being prepared. Anything less, well...

I would do what the Colts did and sweep the locker room for bugs also.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Several years ago, the Steelers prepared for going into an away stadium (can't remember which one it was now) known for extremely loud crowd noise by preparing to play as if they wouldn't be able to hear each other. Can't remember the game, but if I remember correctly, that worked well for them.

Actually he would just stay on the pats sidelines and interpret them for them. Dang it. Scratch that. LOL!

Didn't Indy used to play crowd noise through the stadium PA to make it much louder than it actually was?

They should just hook up a party call with their cell phones. Although I'm sure those aren't allowed on the sidelines. Maybe go old school and have hardwired phones?

I don't know if it was ever proven, but that was definitely the belief about Indy.
