Mine is their screen game, they have James White and Dion Lewis two quick RBs if the Steelers blitz and don't get to Brady . We have seen the Steelers defense struggle with teams throwing screen passes, they gave up long TDs to Philadelphia and Dallas.

Not having a pass rush will kill us more than anything

costly mistakes. You need a near perfect game to beat NE because they will capitalize on your errors. They showed they can turn the ball over time and time again against the Texans and not have it keep them from winning. So I think they need to stay as mistake free as they can.

Kicking FG's instead of scoring TD's.

Reverting to a "catch and chase" defense. We have to contest every thrown ball. Harass Brady AND his receivers. If we get a flag here or there, so be it. We can't allow Brady to dink and dunk all day long. That's how he kills you. A nick here, a cut there... pretty soon, you're bleeding to death. And once you've tried from chasing all day long, he goes over the top for the kill.

Offensively, stupid mistakes and forcing things that aren't there.

Tom Brady completing over 95% of his passes "again" because the Steelers refuse to challenge the Patriot's receivers on the line of scrimmage. This is why Brady love to play the Steelers, too predictable...

Will we have the discipline? This is not a game where we can afford to get cute in any phase. Take what is given you and don't try to "make plays". If a dude is open go to him. If we're driving stick with what's working. Don't dial up a dumb wildcat play with Landry or something asinine. Just straight up old school, ball control, fundamental football for 60 minutes. Not 58. Not 59. 60. We do that and I really think we can win.

I'be been watching video of the Pats and Brady all day the last couple days.

90% of Bradys throws are sideline throws and screen passes to his left. The other 10% are to the TE over the middle.
Brady loves to throw toward the sidelines, and he is great at it. That helps them when it comes time to work against a short clock.
They run 90% of their screen passes to Brady's left, right where JH is going to be edge rushing, they'll just toss it right over his head. If the screen isn't there, Brady just throws it to the TE in the flats. That's basically the Pats passing scheme.
I've been watching video to see how Brady tends to get sacked, and the best way to get to Brady is to let the initial point of attack happen because their O-line works to push everything toward the middle, and they close all the gaps. But some teams like the Ravens, Texans, etc., have used delay LB blitz to find holes to run through clean and get to Brady.
If the OLB's try to line up extra wide to keep from getting forced toward the middle by the OT, Brady audibles to the screen, or hands off to the RB who uses the 5 or 6 hole between the tackle and and TE, or he hits the TE in the left flat.

There isn't going to be any surprises, because Brady is going to work the sidelines, screen pass to his left, and play action toss into the flats. Thats basically all they do.

They have a trick play they like to use when they are just outside field goal range, and its 2nd or 3rd and long. They send Edelman in motion, he sets up 5 yards behind the LOS, Brady tosses it back to him on a lateral, and then he throws to a streaking WR running down the sidelines. Edelman was a college QB at Kent State.
Burns and Cockrell will fall for that one every time.

How is playing bump and run going to help. Maybe you take away the quick slants and drag routes, which the Pats don't like to run anyway.

Go to youtube and watch Pats games, 90% of Brady's throws are toward the sideline, thats why he doesnt get picked too much, and his receivers don't get double covered as much. A lot of Brady's throws are thrown right as his receiver makes his break toward the sidelines, and the receiver runs to the ball.
The best way to play Brady's WR's is to give them a cushion and keep them in front of you, and let them break, then try to get a hand in, or come over the back. Brady throws toward thw sidelines because bad throws and tipped balls end up out of bounds, so he gets few picked.

You can go to youtube and watch "Brady gets sacked", of "Brady or patriot highlights" and watch how the Pats pass block, and watch where Brady throws most of his balls, and how other teams sack Brady.

The best way to get to Brady is a delay blitz, or a LB stunt or wraparound. A safety blitz works great too.

Man, they do run a great screen, and always to Brady's left, they do that to beat the edge rusher. Thats why we should use a delay safety blitz, or MLB delay blitz.

The teams that have success against the Patriots are teams that get a good pass rush from the interior DL. when the pocket shrinks Brady becomes beatable. So I'd say the key to success Sunday is on how much pressure Tuitt and Hargraves get on the QB.

My biggest concern is that our offense can go cold for long stretches of games. Our offense needs to move the chains on a consistent basis, and for the love of god - no toxic turnovers Ben!

Interior pass rush is key to stopping Brady. Hargraves and Tuitt need monster games. Backups need to keep full pressure on to wear down the Pats O-line when starters are getting a rest.

Ball control. Nice, dink and dunk drives for Ben and company mean Brady can't score. Unless their D gets a turnover ball control turns them into paid fans watching from the sideline.

I'd say pretty much any turnover will be toxic if it gives Brady another shot.

If we can't run the ball this will be a very long game to watch and play. I do however think we need to set up that run game by passing early. We need to have T.O.P in or favor and the D needs to take the ball away at least once.

Special teams and turnovers. Usually the deciding factors often in games such as these.
