A few more to go and I think they'll be in great shape.

I honestly think they have to keep either Farrior or Foote. Can't cut a person and his backup at the same time. If Sylverster had shown strong last year, maybe, but I just didn't see it.
    Smiths already out, btw.

I think they hang onto Foote for now....he could be cut later...but if they dont think Sylvester can start at ILB and not knowing what they'd get in the draft/etc...they may hang onto him for now.

i would cut them both and sign back farrior for the minimum 950 ,(count 590 vs the cap). that's if we don't sign a free agent

With this and other releases, the Steelers stand at around $118.6 mil on the salary cap scale. (using the rule of 51) This includes about $9 million in tenders to our 6 RFA's, according to Steelers depot. (numbers showing us way under usually don't add those tenders until actually made)

We still have to clear around $4 mil just for the signing of draft picks, but with some other possible cuts (Foote, Farrior, Scott, Hampton, others) that shouldn't be a problem. This does not include any of our UFAs.

I shouted with glee when I heard about Kemo. I do hate to see Aaron go but it has to be that way. I'm sure Kemo will be back on the field hurting his team with dumb penalties in no time.

....and alot of you will be wondering if he's still available to pick up next year midway thru the season. Release him, not in favor of...relagate to a back up role...yes ! We tend to lose alot of linemen during the season and I've never been sold on our OL coach. Didn't he come over from Buff ? I seem to temeber that line having alot of injuries also. We will need the depth IMHO.

Not sold on our o-line coach (KULGER)? Are you serious, the guy has lost his two starting tackles to start the season the last two years. Had to put up with Kemo at gurad, had a bunch of journeymen back ups, a 6'1 guard and back up center with Legursky who is fragile as well. Best lineman is Pouncey, and had a rookie RT with Gilbert and a LT that got cut in training camp and your not sold on KULGER. I'm suprised he did as well as he has will did with the bunch of misfits we have on the o-line.

Hope that team's deep at QB, for all the ankle injuries they'll suffer when Kemo steps on them...

I think you're probably right Hack because he's got that nasty streak that all teams like in an offensive lineman. Problem is that nasty seemed to always come out in him at the wrong time :frustrated:
