Memo to Todd Haley

Do not waste the first 3 quarters of this game against the Ravens trying to run the ball up the middle, like you did in the loss to the Ravens. Probably need to use the no huddle more this game, screw the run game give Bell 10 rushing attempts throw him 8-10 passes if need be.

 

Also stop running reverses and trick plays at the opponents 22 yard line. It's dumb. Thanks lol

Yea I agree I want to see a lot of no huddle in this game and quick snaps. The Pats did this to the Ravens last week on Monday night and it worked very well. The Ravens couldn't stop it and got confused a lot of times and got tired a lot quicker. I'm with people as well when I say stop calling triple reverses when we are in the red zone or have momentum. You can't afford to do dumb **** like that this week against a team like the Ravens.

 

We have to throw the ball more esp. on early downs..We also need more swing passes,screen passes, and bubble and tunnel screens..Ben must take the check downs and try to hit his guys so they can keep running...Ben has been a bit off in that department we will need his best effort..

On the other side of the ball don't blow coverage and take great pursuit angles...Don't miss open field tackles and play aggressive ....

Eli Rogers could have a big game this week, with LaDarius probably out and the Ravens will be rolling their coverages to AB. The Patriots exposed the Ravens secondary, Brady threw for over 400 yards.

 

You mean he still has no shown he has healthy fingers after breaking two of them

 

This and the fact that we always seem to feel the perpetual need to "take a shot" on 3rd down from a little past midfield when a few yards would keep a drive going or at least put us in Boz range. I'm obviously the biggest Haley fanboy on here but he still does things sometimes that really tick me off.

 

There are absolutely times when Ben has his mind made up before the snap what he is going to do regardless of the coverage. It is generally that he is going for the out route no matter what in those cases too. He basically snaps it and slings it up for grabs on those plays.

 

Yep. Bradshaw used to do the same thing.

 

Can't seem to get this into #7's head. AB is smothered with coverage yet Ben targets 84 about a dozen times a game?
Spread it around, or atleast get it to AB in a position where he can make plays running after the catch.

 

That could be the problem, but he should at least get into position to try to make a catch. What's his catch rate per his targets since his injury, like 2 catches in about 18 targets. Like I said before he needs to show in practice that he can catch prior to games. If he is catching okay in practice, then we got bigger problems because then it's in his head or his confidence.

What ever the reason we need him to get out of his funk.
