Message to the Steelers players and coaches............

A trap game is usually an easy game followed by a difficult opponent. While you could argue this was a trap game because of it being an easy opponent, there's no way the Steelers are looking forward to the Dolphins and the Dolphins are a far worse team than the Jets.

 

Come on now. As much as we miss Big Snack at NT, nobody wants to see Hampton's moobs!

 

Dolphins can win.

Ravens last year? What about the Jets and the Saints 2 years ago? Steelers annihilated Colts and Ravens.. only to lose to Vick-led Jets, a team that was far worse than we played yesterday.... and a below average Saints team.

It can happen.

 

Ah.. I thought perhaps you were referring to the Jets game which as well could have been called a trap game I guess

 

I would love to ask some of you how you survive each day wondering when the sky is going to fall, the sun will burn out or our team is going to be found lying in the locker room in the fetal position because they are scared to come out and play, but I wont because I would feel guilty about the question causing you to jump to your demise. I'm not sure I could live with that on my conscious...literally I'm not sure...have to give it more thought!

 

I agree, you gotta be ready every weekend. There's a fine line between going 10-6 and 6-10 in the NFL. Recently, Whenever the Steelers are about to play a lesser opponent I think of 2014 and the loss to Tampa Bay. My son had a midget football game that day so luckily I missed it.

 

Yesterday was that "trap game" I was concerned about.


This upcoming one... not so much anymore. Outside of Ndamukong Suh, Jarvis Landry and Mario Williams... I really do not even see too many other weapons...


If anything.. Suh and Williams have not been too hot either.

 

I think Tampa Bay played a midget-league football team that day, too!

 

Lol. When we lose we spend six days venting anger and depression.

When we win we spend six minutes celebrating before worrying about the next game.

All part of the fun I guess.

 

Imagine what it fells like to be a Notre Dame fan year in year out...

When the Steelers beat below-average teams consistently... then I will quit worrying. The Steelers haven't been that great on the road in the past few years, so it's fair game to stress out about the Dolphins.

Last time these two teams played, the Dolphins beat the Steelers at Heinz Field with snow on the ground.

 

It's insane to compare this Steelers team to the one we had two seasons ago. We werebt that good that year. We were even worse the year before. This year's team is really good. Sure they layed an egg against a decent Eagles team, but worrying yourselves about this week based on results from years when we had very mediocre teams is a little much.

Also why is it so crazy for us to beat NE at Heinz this year? We have one of the most talented teams in the whole league. It's not a forgone conclusion that we lose that game. Sure they are our most difficult game on the schedule but it doesn't mean we can't win. We can beat the Pats. I honestly think we are a better team than they are.

 

Most people aren't worrying, but this is a discussion forum, so we're finding things to discuss.

Beating the Pats isn't crazy at all. It's doable if we execute and get good coaching. We have the talent

Maybe worry was the wrong word. It seems like a good number of people expect us to struggle or lose against a bad team simply because it has happened to us in years past.

I was adding to the discussion tho... calling other people crazy is adding to the discussion right? Hahah

I think so too. I actually expect us to beat them. I think we have a better team than they do. I just hope the KC game Steelers show up and not the Eagles game Steelers lol
