THE BUMBLEBEES ARE BACK!

Rocking the throwbacks this weekend. I love it. Eat it haters they are still here.

 

I thought someone posted that they weren't using these anymore. Regardless, I love them and I'm glad they'll be wearing them in all their striped glory.

 

I think this is the last season for them.

 

I think our overall record in them is pretty decent.
But, looks wise I'm not fan. Don't worry there will be another throwback coming for sure at some point.

 

I've always liked when they wear them but Enjoy it while you can

 

This is the last time they will be worn so you can play taps while you say good bye to ugly...


Say good-bye to the Steelers' bumblebee uniforms. USATSI

The Steelers are scheduled to wear the uniforms for the final time during a Week 5 game against the Jets. After that, you can hang them up in your closet for good because the team has no plans to wear them going forward.

The elimination of the bumblebee jerseys will likely come as a relief to most people on the internet.

 

Didn't like them at first, but they've grown on me to tolerable levels. Heck, Miller's rocking them in my avatar. But he could come out wearing a Tutu and a space helmet and I'd be like HHHHEEEEEAAAATTTTHHHH!!!

 

I have to say I liked them.
My family hated them so it made it so much better to wear them.
I will miss them.

Speaking of Heath, the first time Jesse James caught a pass at the game on Sunday the whole crowd started chanting Heath and then got a chuckle out of it.

 

Next year, the Steelers should wear the old block numbers for a game or two.

 

Next year they should bring back the 33 again.

 

Yea, that was funny...the big screen should do some gunshots for Jesse

 

Anything but the 33. I hated that jersey. It would be cool to see the '67 Batman jersey though.

I`m happy to say good-bye to the bumblebee uni`s. It`s funny to see fans reaction regarding uni`s. I posted about possible tiny improvements to our uni`s that keep the same look and got resistance, yet others like these abominations that look like mutated bumble bees.

Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder as they say.

For some of us, it's because this is from an early part of Steeler's history. It's more about what it is than how it looks.

 

i like the bumble bees. we play well in them too.

 

I'll miss the bumblebee jerseys. AFAIK, we've only lost once in those jerseys... to the Bengals.

 

lets wear them in the superbowl, a big F U to everyone else as we demolish the opponent lol.

 

To me they represent the longest losing streak in steeler history and the team wasnt even the steelers, they were the pirates when they wore these pitiful looking rags, heres their record for the first 39 years, and it's pitiful:
