    A shout out to Jordan!!!!

I've been pulling for this kid for a while now. I love it when underdogs make it.

He's been trying for 4 years t make a club, he's been with the Steelers for the last two offseasons and he finally made. Doran Grant was to be tried out at safety but Jordan made it and Sunday we now know why..

He played very well, no missed assignments as far as I can tell, 6 tackles, didn't get beat AND No Penalties..... He did struggle last preseason with illegal hits.

Seems that tackling was not an issue for him. However... much of this was known from this preseason's actions alone.

I've been rooting for the guy. The guy is physical and can lay the wood. He stated that "it was a dream come true". Finally, a Dangerfield ...that can get some respect...lol

Robert Golden impressed us last year when he came in due to injuries and now Dangerfield. I've been hard on Coach Lake in the past but he seems to have these 2 squared away and ready to go if needed. Let's hope these 2 do it on a consistent basis.

You know, I was thinking this very thing last nite,. There's a long list of drafted DBs who have failed to develop here. Now we have a couple of undrafted guys who seemingly are turning that trend.

My question is this, is more Lake or more them. These two guys have something in common. They weren't supposed to make it vs better competition yet they fought and tried and learned and fought and Never quit trying ...

I would have to put the majority of that into the players willingness to fight. They have to want it. Most of the drafted guys are cut in preseason as rookies. If they showed some fight, maybe they would have stuck around longer?? Even if they were evaluated incorrectly (drafted too high for instance or drafted at all) and that was determined in TC or preseason, I can't imagine they wouldn't be put on the PS if they showed some fight or desire to contribute on STs, etc.

Lake can only coach and teach. If the guy is unwilling to absorb it or put in the effort, that probably goes a long, long way into their evaluations for the roster. Yes, that's common sense but you know what I'm getting at.
