Why not get Ray Rice. He is still young and quite good. He has apparently been forgiven by his wife. He has been punished. As good Christians the Rooneys should be able to forgive him especially since he is a really good running back. Same goes for the fans. Bell is a bit of an immature flake who will probably continue to be a drugger and leave the Steelers next year to start all over.

Not that I think he's needed, but Gerhart would've been bad ass in black and gold

yep, slightly younger than james harrison. he'd be a 3rd rb, not a 1 or 2 for us.

I'm just here so I don't get fined, but I don't want Marshawn Lynch simply because I don't want to watch him grabbing his junk every week.

He wasn't a really good RB anymore when all that went down, he certainly isn't anymore.

No thanks. They don't need to sign anyone anyway.

Of that list, Pierce, Bush, and Gerhart are most intriguing. Pierce was a former Raven and I always thought was a little underrated. Bush I think still has something left in the tank and Gerhart runs hard. I doubt any of them get a look but it's fun to think about.

Running backs get cut like banana are in bunches during the preseason. Pittsburgh will more than likely look for someone during the final week for the "cream of the crop."

I would just give the $15 mill a year to Steven Jackson and move on. That way we would be totally set for the long term.

I am more concerned about a reserve offensive guard than a running back. Unless BJ Finney shows considerable improvement or if Haley/Mucha really do plan on moving Hawkins as a guard in the future, there is concern in regards to the backups.

What happens if D Williams goes down week 1? Of course we need an xtra RB now that the bonehead LB
may get suspended for the first 4 games. Steelers should be watching waiver wire after the cuts start happening.

Who are they going to leave off the 53 to make room for this 3rd option insurance policy that will be cut after 4 games? Not to mention the cap space it will eat.

Dwill and Fitz will be fine.

Oh they will find somebody that will not be needed like a reserve RB will. Will stash him somewhere.
Some people really feel that games in September are unimportant, I am not one of them. Just maybe if we play good
out of the gate, we may get a bye in the playoffs that could be real important to people fighting injuries/fatigue. And of course we all know the winning percentages of teams with a bye:)

We signed a rb that we previously cut. So is that a sign of LB situation?
