WOW! Easy people. The guy is sick, not injured. Read the article and don't add any opinion to it. It's December, and there are all kinds of illnesses going around. You think he can't catch one? He has two kids who are germ magnets as well. If he's sick he takes the day off, and comes back tomorrow or Friday. As was mentioned prior, if he's sick, do you want him around the team spreading it?
