Sorry this team is not making the playoffs this year

Offense gave it its best effort but too many injuries too many missed opportunities and we have a tougher road in the remaining wildcard teams

We will probably finish 9–7 and missed the playoffs

our pass defense might be the worst in the league.. 3rd down defense is utter garbage.. look what Manziel did two weeks ago.. They has some unlucky plays near the goal-line, otherwise, he threw on us all day.. Johnny ****ing Manziel.

 

If they make it great. If not then a better pick and another chance to draft another high level corner.

 

Brady will torch us anyhow.. we are incapable of playing mistake-free football for 4 quarters.. after so long, we always manage to do stupid ****.

If the Steelers do miss the playoffs it will be the 6th year in a row without a playoff win.

 

We just don't have the players in the secondary. Blake as corner and Allen as safety just dosen't cut it.

 

Agree. The defense has gotten worse through the year, not better. If the opposite had happened we'd be scary right now. Instead we'll be sitting at home with an average draft pick that gets spent on a linebacker.

 

our front 7 is actually pretty good, certainly not bad. however, at the expense of building our front 7 over the years, we've completely ignored the secondary.. and as a result, it is HORRIBLE.

 

We were the better team... Horrible Play calls and mistakes is what's killing this whole season

Not sure why some folks need to go to this type of extreme? I remember that some people felt this way about the team in the past. The Steelers are still in the hunt for the playoffs.

 

We still control our own destiny by winning out. doesn't matter if the Jets Texans Chiefs win out we will still get in but does anybody feel confident of us running the table

I'm pretty sure the OP gave up on this season after the first week!

 

Wow 5 games left 3 vs division, way to early to say we are out of this. We just lost to a team that was in the SB the last 2 years on there turf......and we could have won that game....should have won that game. I am not scared of the Colts, Manningless Broncos, Cinny, Ravens or the Clown......win 4 out of 5 we are in. The sky isn't falling cause we lost in Seatlle.....come on!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I said this in the other thread a few minutes ago that I just don't see teams like the Jets,Bills,or Texans finishing ahead of the Steelers. Their QB play is just not good enough to hold up over a QB like Ben these last 5 games and finish ahead of the Steelers. I can see KC finishing ahead of the Steelers cause they beat them and own the tiebraker but I just don't see the other three doing so.

 

The many millions of cap $$ tied up with Woodey and Troy doesn't help. No money to go

Not falling but the almost 400 yards given up to Manziel was telling. This secondary is horrendous.

 

6 years?, and tomlin has been here 9?..

 

I agree our secondary is bad but we can score with the best of them and the only team that worries me is the bungals.

 

The game against our D is basically the lone highlight of Johnny Football's career.

 

Cincy's coach has the 3rd longest tenure in the league and hasn't ever won a playoff game. Maybe you'd rather have him?

 

Who will also be average. We need to get our magic back in picking our backers. Seems it has all shifted to wideouts now.

 

And we still have not found a way to cover tight ends, we have to be the worst at this. Come to think about it we may have the worst secondary in the NFL.
