Dri should be brought back and put in a different possition. The guy they brought in is not working out. Having him as a pass reciever out of the back field with the other recievers will drive the other teams crazy.

I agree. His first pre season game was what I was planning to see in his career. Dump off pass and then use speed...or him getting with AB and refining his route running. Speed kills when used properly

Are we talking about the same Dri Archer that was cut and 31 other teams don't want?

It would never happen unless Jones goes down with an injury, and even then I doubt he'd be re-signed. That would take Tomlin admitting that he was wrong and that would leave egg on his face. Jacoby Jones is as useful to this team as Mike Vick is and neither of them are going anywhere, unfortunately.

I refer to them as Dri Jones/Jacoby Archer because they are the same player with nothing to offer. Archer falls down at first contact 90% of the time. Jones is just a washed up Rat that burned Tomlin to the tune of a $100K. I guess signing him was one way of MT trying to get something out of that fine.

Cut Jones and let Wheaton/ Todman do kickoffs.
Open a roster spot for another position for depth.

    and..... don't resign archer.

Sigh.....yes. Also I'm assuming this is the same Dri Archer that goes down on first contact. I'm also assuming this is the same Dri Archer that trips over his own shadow. So why exactly are we talking about this again?

No I believe they were talking about the Dri archer who was cut, offered a practice squad position by 10 teams and turned them down because he believes he can start for some team. My only advice for Dri is to look at that guy Nelson I believe his name was from the cardinals last night 180 pounds and still fast, elusive and can make quick cuts, maybe Dri can bulk up a bit without losing some of that straight line speed.

You are right on point. This needs to be explained to Dri. I just feel that he can become a good player if he lets others work with him.

Other than Archer having no field vision, no coordination, no timing, no toughness and no game speed, everything else about him is just delightful. I'm surprised they cut him with so much going for him.

    OK...
    I was wrong...

I really thought Dri could help us...
I won`t say he was used incorrectly...

I will just admit he couldn`t adjust to the NFL level of play...

I truly thought he could be a "Darren Sproles" type of returner/runningback, maybe reciever..

    I was wrong.

We gave him a chance, don`t bring him back...

Admit we were wrong, and move on......

    GO STEELERS!!!

That and a blade of grass could tackle him. Yeah, I don't understand what teams aren't seeing with him. I'm more than miffed because I had him as my fantasy league starter since he entered the NFL and Tomlin just wouldn't let him on the field. I think if the guy can bulk up to say 140, 142 and learn to run against the slight wind he is a legit probowler!

You have to purge Ventrone off the Pats practice squad. That is where he is currently.

They already offered him a spot on the practice squad. Turned it down.

Have you signed with an NFL team?
    No?
    He sucks less than you.
    We took a chance.
    It didn`t work out...

    Time to move on...

For the record, I`m glad we took the chance, and if it`s true that he turned down other offers, he`s a fool...

He does have legit speed, and he just MIGHT have a chance to have a good career with another team.

It wasn`t working here, and I don`t think he can be too picky about future opportunities..

Tough to crack the roster tho, if you can`t return the ball, with that speed...

We gave him some chances...He didn`t make the most of them. Period.

Exactly ....He should be the perfect fit for the Pats . He is not ...He has zero short area quickness and next to zero wiggle . This is the kiss of death for a small fast guy.....He has no future in the NFL except practice squad...
