Sad to see our star running back out with a season ending injury. So here is a video I found today that will have to tide us over until next season :(

I started to watch this but can't right now. My temper is not right just yet. It's like pouring salt in an open wound.

Once Bryant got his suspension I started to view this season not for what it was but for what could have been. I am of two minds on the topic. On one side I think the adversity could lead to a team pulling together and playing tough the rest of the way. The other looks at the games lost with player suspensions, hurt players, the bumbling mistakes, and says this could be like some of those "down" years in the 70's you know the if only so in so was healthy. What is it they say the 76 team could have possibly been the best team that Noll ever fielded.

I think we also tend to forget the bumbling mistakes and injuries in successful seasons. They're there - just not as glaring when you win.

Perhaps not to quite the same extent, of course. But still there.

My heart goes out to Bell second year in a roll he's been sidelined with a knee injury its got to be really tuff on him I know it was tuff on me seeing him go down I wanted to jump thru the TV screen and take revenge. There's no doubt in my mind, that we got us a future HOFer in RB Le`veon Bell. I look forward to his speedy recovery and watching him play for the Black and Gold for many years to come. The team should all dedicate the rest of the season to Bell and all the injured players and win out and get us a wild card spot and get #7. Go Steelers

I should have followed your lead! Now i'm even more pissed off. Such an awesome all around guy. Hopefully this team can rally around the adversity and pull off something special!

Hate to bring up the T word (trend), but how many HOF RBs have sustained as many serious early career injuries as Bell and manged to return and have lasting successful careers. Injuries have slowed many great backs later in their careers but right out of the gate? This is all so sad and disappointing for such a talented and complete player, especially being a Steeler of course. Be nice if it was like the amazing returns and results that Tommy John surgery has had in MLB.

Good point and I was already thinking about the impact of his injuries as it relates to the longevity of his career. He is a really tough kid and likes to play with a chip on his shoulder as evidenced by the video. Wish him all the luck in the world at reeking havoc in 2016

This video just tells me that Bell is the kind of kid that will be motivated by the injuries and, quite possibly, return stronger than he is now. I'm sure some players would curl up and quit but I don't see that in Bell.

Interestingly back in August sports injury predictor, predicted Bell had an 88% chance of being injured this year, I think it's his style of play that makes him more prone to injuries, I also think he has lost too much weight to take the impact hits he receives in a game.........

Didn't Adrian Peterson come back from a knee injury and run for like 2,000 yards? Or was that before his injury?

You are correct, it was after. Modern medicine has come a long way since even the early 2000's where knee ligament injuries aren't as catastrophic as they used to be, especially for a young guy like Bell. I would be surprised if this injury affects him physically.

Williams did a fine job for us at the beginning of the season. If fact he was doing great. Bell being injured is a loss no doubt but I think we have a quality backup that will serve us well. Injuries are an expected part of football and the reason we have backups in the first place.
It really sucks for Bell and it sucks for us too but injuries are going to happen. It's just the realities of a physical game like football.

The suspensions? That's a whole different story and something that should be dealt with firmly.
