Hello From WA!

    Excited to be here. Hoping to connect with local fans in Pittsburgh. My Dad and I are finally going to see a home game in Pittsburgh Dec 20th, and looking for advice on THE Steelers bar to visit while in town, and if there is a way to connect with local fans for a true tailgate exp. We are staying withing walking distance of the field, so will be easy for us to get around. Thanks in advance!

    Welcome, B&G56. Weather will be a factor, but I doubt you'll have any problems finding a true tailgating experience. You'll get mixed responses on what bar to visit, but McFadden’s is a pretty good choice. Can't go wrong with Bettis' Grille 36. Have fun!

    Just head over to the South Side. Find Carson St.(not hard) and go into any establishment that has a beer sign in its window.

    Since the game doesn`t start `till after 4, just head towards the stadium around 10 or 11:00 AM...(or noon,... whenever you wake up... :sleepy: )...

    You will find plenty of fans there, for the "true tailgating experience", and they will be happy to point you in the direction of "the best local bar"(or invite you to join their party)...

    There are blocks full of bars, within walking distance, of the main entrance to Heinz Field...

    And they will all be full of fans in Black and Gold, getting ready to watch us kick the Bronco`s ass!!!!

    Blend in, make friends, and HAVE FUN!!!!

    Hey there! I'm from WA myself and have already made the trek East twice this year (Cardinals and Bengals). There's nothing like seeing a game in the 'Burgh! Have a great time, and bring home a victory!
