This has me wondering if the Steelers may actually not extend Ben.

    He had 3 game winning drives in 2012, 2013 and has 2 this season.

    Maybe Starkey thinks he should do it every game :shrug:

    Don't sign Ben and fans will see what poor play really looks like.

    I don't necessarily disagree with you, Blast. I remember the lean QB years all too well and want to hang on to Ben for as long as possible. But as it stands now, the Steelers have him for three more years without re-signing him. One contract year and potentially 2 franchise years. I just hope he finishes strong and leaves no doubt that he should be re-signed.

    Wouldnt there be some hefty price tags with franchising him 2 years in a row? I cant see the Steelers doing business like that anyway, they never are that cut throat and operate in good faith.

    And I'm sure you'd have a disgruntled Ben in that scenario too. Let's just hope he leads us to number seven this year and leaves no doubt!
