Good Grief, I don't know what is less likely...that the Browns make the playoffs, or that they do it with Johny Manziel.

If we stay healthy, it's not far fetched. We have serious weapons on offense and the piece that has put them on the road to being a top offense? Bryant. They now have a bona fide #2 along side AB. They have a great QB, great RB, a pretty dang good TE, and if the line continues to play like it did against the Colts, this offense will be down right scary.

I don't deny that it's not far fetched. Any team that gets hot at the right time can win the Superbowl. I just think our weaknesses will be exposed against certain teams. Denver comes to mind. We have a weak Oline and bad defence. Denver has a ridiculous offence and a good pass rush. If we had to play them in the playoffs, I just don't think we matchup well.

I told my oldest son earlier that something magical happened in that 2:54 stretch in the Texans game that is going to propel this team to its SEVENTH LOMBARDI TROPHY!!! When Ben's holding the MVP trophy after the Super Bowl we'll all be able to look back at that incredible 3 minute stretch and say that's where it started!

As much as I want to believe, and I will watch this team until the last game that they can play this season (or any other season for that matter) - this will be our undoing. Our D is just not that good. I know Luck is a good QB that can't be taken lightly or be expected to give up, but we've made other non-A grade QB's look really good (Glennon comes to mind right away).

I hope I'm wrong, and I hope this 'bold' prediction is at least close because I'll be happy. But our D has yet to play a full 4 Q's this season.

Hope it is not far fetched. I put $1,000.00 on the Steelers to win the SB this year at 35 to 1 before the season started. I think the offense can make a run at it, I'm not so sure about the defense.

I've said all year that our offense is not what concerns me. Actually, I think we are stacked or at least starting to look that way. When people at work come up and ask me about the Steelers I've been telling them that if THIS offense could have been combined with the 08 DEFENSE we would be a dynasty again. The o-line is gonna have to have a lot more performances like it had last week for the offense to dominate though.

Any offence with that 08 defence is a dynasty in the making. That defence was out of control!

Dude you aint lyin'! Just for fun (or torture depending on how you look at it! LOL!) I went and watched a lot of highlights of them not too long ago. I also went and looked at their stats and it was just mind boggling how great they truly were. I was wanting to watch the highlights to see if I could spot the "cushion" in that defense. It seemed like then that we played much tighter. Although most qbs didn't even have time to pass it period!

When you take into account the fact that it's a passing league and the rules are tilted to favour the offence, it makes me think that 08 defence is one of the greatest defences of all time.

It would be nice if we won the superbowl this year lol.
We just don't have a defense yet to make it happen. Can't score 51 every week.

I'd say it probably was. We really had two defensive players of the year on that d because Harrison got it in 08 and Troy got it in '10. Both of them were in their prime in those years. Also that is when Woodley would actually show up to play as well and we had Casey. Now that he's gone I realize how truly valuable he was. We had that great streak going of not letting anybody get 100yds on the ground and now it is basically routine for that to happen.

Nice bet, Fan, good luck! As for the defense, still have 8 weeks for that to round into shape

Well we actually COULD score 51 every week. We just probably WON'T. However, we need to get to where we can just hold the other team and I think our offense could win us quite a few games.

No doubt. This offense when given Ben time, can easily score 30+ every week.

That's not really my concern - I know we can score plenty of points. But will we come out and keep our foot on the gas each week? Seems that they did it last week because they knew Luck and Co. were the type of team that you can't let up on. Our history shows that we won't if we get any kind of lead.

I'm of the mindset that if you score 27 in the first half, come out and score 27 more in the second - regardless of how many the opp scores. I know, not classy. But this is the new NFL - class doesn't win championships, dominance does.
