I don't think it will be found out that Goodell lied. If he did, those who know he did are also lying about not seeing the tapes, so everyone will cover for everyone and we'll all be kept in the dark forever.

If there was any kind of cover-up or misinformation then yes. These things tend to snowball.

Everything comes out these days, sooner or later. I find it highly unlikely that they didn't see that tape :bscow:

TMZ claims to have proof the League saw that tape before handing down the 2 game suspension. If they do, watch the heads roll!

My best "real life" football buddy just asked me a question while ago. He said "if you can be suspended for conduct detrimental to the league then why hasn't Roger Goodell been suspended?!" LOL! THAT'S A DANG GOOD QUESTION IF YOU ASK THIS OLE BOY!

No the owners would never admit a wrong hire,
plus the NFL is making boatloads of money.

Gooddell could have been in the elevator himself with a camera rolling and the majority of the owners would still support him due to the amount of money he has made them over the years. They would simply make excuses that he wouldn't have been able to control the situation. Fans will not boycott because they don't want to see one missed play that might impact their fantasy football team. Some women will still return to their men that continually beat them and possibly even marry the scumbags. Owners will rehire said scumbags so long as it helps their teams win games. Presidents will go golfing right after press conferences stating that they will not tolerate beheadings. Sadly, this is the world we now live in.

Get serious. Goodell is no where near losing his job over this. Not even close.

I don't know the process that would be involved but I'm sure he could be fired. Don't know if it would require a majority vote or a unanimous vote.

While not a commissioner, the NBA just voted out one of the other owners, majority vote I believe.

I don't really think the puke is going anywhere, but I can hope and dream :wizard:

Same here don't know all the politics that's involved.. Roger's rooted deep as commissioner. I'm not all that dogmatic on a stay cause this is becoming bigger as social media moves forward. I'm semi-working and without tv so keep the fans updated!! :lolol:

I would like to see Goodell gone as much as anyone. But don't get your hopes up. It just isn't going to happen. No way,no how.

Public outcry is great enough, you never know. This and spygate would be Goodells second scandal and black eye for the league. This isn't the 60's where your only outlet to show disproval is to sit outside with picket signs. Social media and around the clock sports news coverage can be very damaging. Why do you think Rice was released so fast by the Ravens and suspension increased by Goodell? To head off as much backlash as possible.

Donald Sterling, a powerful owner in the NBA lost his team do to public outcry, because a private conversation where he voiced his opinion (as disgusting as his opinion is) was recorded and made public by someone he though he could trust and created a huge **** storm and he was voted out.

Don't kid yourself, nobody is untouchable. The only reason he wont be voted out is if the public doesn't make a big enough deal about it. He's not the only guy capable of making the league money, the next guy they bring in would do just as well, hell, you could bring a monkey in an make money, the NFL is a self propelling juggernaut.

It wouldn't shock me one bit if they didn't view that video. Could they have got it if they really wanted it? Yes, but it's also quite possible they asked the police for it and when they didn't get it through that method, they simply didn't try any other method of getting it. Perhaps they simply didn't care enough to work on getting a copy of it or they thought they had seen enough from the video that was available.

I'm not really expecting it, just hoping :smiley1:

That possibility is only slightly less disgusting. Both scenarios; saw it, didn't see it, puts them in a bad light.
