I really liked that signing for what it did for us and to the Ravens as the article points out. I think that for what the Steelers had to work with and had to accomplish they've had a productive if not sexy off season. Getting Munchak, Blount, Mitchell, and Moore isn't bad work. Now let's hope for a productive draft day.

if you read my forst post as soon as we signed blount i praised it as a double edge sword.. it got us a power RB anddddddddddd mostly it kept the ravens from getting him.. so its like we paid 3M to get him and could have paid another 3M to keep the rats from getting him... id rank munchak as our best signing.. blount second.. mitchell 3rd and the rest just a waste of money... and sanders and woodley our worst loses ..

Losing Sanders and Woodley is no big deal, Sanders drops too many passes to be a #2 WR and Woodley wasn't worth a 13-14 million salary cap hit and being injury prone.

The Pats passed on Sanders too.

I think the worst move the Ravens made was not finding a way to keep Bouldin last year. Cost them a lot more than us losing Lewis.

If they draft a guy who is good it isn't a mistake. RB's are a dime a dozen now a days...

Very true, and it's not like Blount is anything special. He's above average in some ways and very below average in other ways. I don't see a guy like Blount making or breaking any team.

He was ranked 6th in the league last year, dropped only 1 catchable pass in 32 throws.

Was that the 2 pt conversion against the Ravens? That was certainly catchable!

LOL, that would have been a great catch and definitely not what they consider catchable when configuring those stats.

I've always told my kids that if they get one hand it, it ought to be a catch. I don't expect any less from an NFL receiver.
