I agree that the ball shouldn't have gone back to the Packers. They had their chance to score and failed. The Steelers should had retained possession of the ball and been penalized yardage half the distance to the goal.

 

I agree, but for whatever reason that's not how the rule is written. There needs to be a sub-section in that rule to take into account situations where it was 4th down and the live ball was put on the ground.

 

I don't believe the games are rigged either (from a conspiracy standpoint). However, I do know that Refs are just as human as us and are surely capable of coming up with a questionable call from time to time. Its just human nature. Also, at least now I know where you stand because you explained yourself rather than just post a sarcastic comment.

Clark retained possession. We should've retained possession on a fumble or live ball out of bounds period! I don't blame him him for the flip, had willie been ready, it's 7 pts the other way, but a flag thrown before any b.s. Occurred would've nullified it.

 

It's possible, but extremely rare. I just don't see how anyone can even watch a game if they believe it's fixed. Why bother? What I take issue with is people saying Goodell is fixing the games. That's ridiculous. No commissioner of any pro sport is going to fix a game. There's too much to lose and nothing to gain

 

I swear there is no fan base, in the world, in any sport, that *****es more about officiating AFTER A WIN than Steeler fans.

Seriously, how can someone not be steaming mad, when the refs blow a call in 2, or 3, different ways?
Even counting the 'we didn't notice Pittsburgh gained possession' call, the rule needs to be fixed, if a team retains possession after a blocked FG, in that circumstance.

Yeah. I just watched it a few weeks ago in Imax 3d and I HIGHLY HIIIIIIGHLY recommend everyone else does the same. I didn't until then though.

because the Steelers won the game, the blown call earlier in the game should never ever be discussed AND anyone who has even the slightest gripe with it is being unreasonable and childish.

I don't know that it's heavily slanted toward the offense, I think some just interpret the newer safety rules as favoring the offense , but they have took away some offensive things as well. A couple that come to mind are the push out on a receiver rule and a RB not being able to lead with his helmet in the open field.

 

A lot of fans will be watching next week, a lot of teams have a chance, green bay vs Chicago, Baltimore vs cincy,dallas vs Philadelphia, Miami sand diego ,us very interesting makes u wonder, we won despite they probably wanted green bay to win, notice on that play even before ziggy did that play the ref in the back threw a flag what was that for? it was like they were lost didn't know what to say, if u think its not rigged for gambling and ratings wake up man

 

That ref is a male prostitute. I've seen him behind the cheeseburger joint offering "parties" for cheeseburgers. It's well known.

 

What's funny is that it's the opposite over in Packers Land. Apparently, they were really screwed by the refs on the last play......Guess they have short memories.

Maybe it's a rule from that old Raiders play against San Diego when they batted the ball forward and got a TD.

 

Shocker, it's even worse on the Facebook page. I can guarantee that it would be insanity if the Steelers had lost after that call on the FG!
