I don't think anyone is saying that Allar is ready to take the NFL by storm. He is young and still has a lot to learn and to prove.

I'm not sure what you mean by Mason being the real deal. As what? A starter?

I sure as hell have no idea what you mean by calling him the cool jewel.

You never know till you toss out something.
I can think of a couple teams with some need... A lot of folks thought we'd nothing for Kenny.

Ok, so one of the best quarterbacks of all-time isn't what he used to be. That doesn't mean he is terrible. I'm not a fan of having a quarterback his age, but it makes sense to have someone with his knowledge and willingness to teach with young quarterbacks to be developed. He may ultimately be a big part of the reason that one or both of the young quarterbacks gain a better understanding of the offense they may be playing in for a long time. His mastery of this offense is why he's a perfect fit.

Please stop with the derogatory crap calling him a "scaredy cat". Even if he is getting more gun shy, it's because he has stood in the pocket and taken so many shots to make a perfect throw under pressure. You clearly don't like Rodgers. You don't have to like him, but you should respect him for what he's done in the NFL. I just don't get making all these insulting comments about Rodgers. He's a hell of a lot better at what he does than you will ever be at anything in your life.

If this whole discussion is about the future, then why are you focusing on Rudolph? He's 31 years old and has never shown signs of being good enough to be a quality starting quarterback in the NFL.

I hear what You are saying, but You don't keep a 42, or is he 43, I don't remember year old Qb because You aren't trying to win right now, so It makes no sense to try, and then not have an experienced Qb just incase.

Ask yourself how likely you are to win the lottery with them 2 tickets?
I have been trying for years to no avail

Cold hard math is, out of any Qb placed on the practice squad , who would be the least likely taken by the other teams.
A weak armed, 6th round Qb with no NFL experience, or a veteran Qb that has experience, and has actually played in the Playoffs??

I think you're correct for what the Steelers will do. I think to force Mason off the roster, Howard or Allar will have to clearly demosntrate they can succeed as NFL backups.

In the post you quoted, I was trying to explain my preference (trade Mason) rather than what I think the team will do (keep Mason and maybe try to get Howard to the PS...I doubt we keep 4 QBs).

    Speaking of Arkansas
    Was watching
    Rufus the bull
    On youtube today
Guy was saying he was upset that consecutive 100 degrees record was going to be set today, but it is only going to be 99 today.
To top it off , he said it will be 102 tomorrow

I certainly agree that the odds are low on both. Which is why I think there's some value of keeping them both (basically doubles the chances).

So maybe there's a 5% chance of them being close to averages NFL starters. I'd rather have the two long shots over Mason, where we know there's a ~0% chance he becomes a long term starter.

Probably we lose the bet on both Howard and Allar.

But the upside of keeping Mason is probably something like better chance of making the WC round and losing decisively.

I like Mason. And if we had an established QB, he's exactly the kind of backup I like. A guy who's competent that we picked up on the cheap in UFA (although we did "waste" a draft pick the first time he was on the roster).

But when you don't have a medium term starter at QB on the team, I think finding one is the most important thing. And I'd be fine sacrificing competent backup QB play for a slim chance that the QB we let go becomes a viable starter.

I think Rooney feels differently than I do. So I am expecting Mason to be the backup. Not the decision I'd make. But the chances that trying to get Howard to the PS (or even just outright cutting him) genuinely matter are low. So the decision is probably mostly "meh" either way.

    I totally agree about
    Mason is Mason
But he does have that value as an experienced BU
Arot will be gone next season
    Let the season play out
    And
Maybe we will have a clearer perspective next season on our qb room

I was cleaning pool bathrooms at 11 pm
    It was around 95
Air so thick that you can hardly breathe
    My theory
Man has concrete and asphalt all around
Which in turn holds the heat from the day
    Nights no longer cooling down
This is bad for us humans

    IDK
Anyone needing a QB now wants experience
    Mason is a good backup
If we had a good starter no one would question keeping Mason
If Allar pans out and possibly starts next year Mason would be a good backup to have

I think some of the fans perspective of Rudolph doesn’t align with how the league feels about his ability. League showed how interested they were in Rudolph during free agency.

He’s very overrated by some fans.

    Another troubling concern
    Dew point
    Scientists have now lowered
    The threshold on humans
Dew point doesn’t let our sweat cool us off
    It never evaporates
    We just keep sweating
    Until…
