I know You never played anything outside of Madden if You call any game meaningless. Nobody should even be allowed to suit up that doesn't want to win any game they are in, in any freaking sport.

Calling early Ben a “game manager” while dunking on Cowher is peak revisionist garbage. Roethlisberger walked into the league in 2004 and immediately looked like a franchise quarterback extending plays, throwing darts under pressure, and winning games that a pure game manager would’ve lost. Cowher didn’t invent that; he just had the brains and b@lls to start the kid and ride the talent instead of babysitting some stiff. If Ben was only a “game manager” then, explain the 2005 Super Bowl run and the fact that defenses already had to game-plan for him scrambling and improvising. Facepalm yourself. You’re not making a point.

I said McVay, and McCarthy has never drafted, and developed a good Qb. Both of you quickly jumped on it , and moved the goal post to Rodgers, and Goff, neither who was drafted by either of them. I never said they never developed a Qb, I said they never drafted, and developed one, but both of You moved the goal post. Maybe the problem with some of you is you don't understand what You read, and therefore don't actually know where the goal post started Now with that said show me one time I have???

I see many teams in the last 10 years a team who had a losing season make the super bowl 2-3 years later after that,like the 2017 eagles,2018 rams,2019 49ers,2020 bucs,2021 bengals,2022 eagles,2023 49ers,2025 patriots

McVay did not developed Stafford but the best years of Stafford are under McVay.He was a very good QB in Detroit but now he will likely be in the HOF because of what he did with the rams

I really hope you're correct about being able to fix him. But how many QBs have been drafted with the intention to fix them? And what's the actual success rate? My sense is that the answer to the first question is "too many to count". And the second question is something like "very, very low". The odds get better earlier in the draft. But even in the top 10 picks, my guess is that the hit rate is 50% (at best).

Re: BU on day 3. Is BU worse than Miami of Ohio was in 2004? Again, I'm not the biggest NCAA fan. But I believe the biggest reason Ben was picked 3rd of 3 was that the MAC was not thought of well at the time (although Batch helped).

So when when McVay was the TEs coach in Washington he somehow helped Matt Stafford in Detroit that year to throw over 40 tds, and over 5000 yards??

 

2011 was his only great year in Detroit and it was 10 years before he come to L.A

 

You claim Tomlin developed Roethlisberger, but totally ignore Ben's first 40 starts under Cowher/Whisenhunt. You say McCarthy didn't develop Rodgers. Who the hell did? It sure as hell wasn't Mike Sherman for one year, Rodgers' rookie season when he was drafted. He had zero starts while Brett Favre was QB from 2005-07. You keep saying these coaches didn't draft and develop their QBs... McCarthy, McVay, etc. Well... you're right about drafting, dead wrong about developing.

I think they drafted him because there's a long-shot possibility of working out because he has a strong arm.

But it looks like he basically has no shot to be the QB2 (at least coming out of camp). And I can't imagine having a guy going from having virtually no shot to be the backup to not drafting a guy they think is a potential starter next year.

Again...time will tell. And I hope that you're more right than I am.

I never said Stafford was bad in Detroit...I even said he was very good but he was also better in L.A and he will be in the HOF thank to the years in Los Angeles
