It would be great if he did, but I agree with you re: Wilson.

I think he'll make the team. But I think his odds of not being on the 53 are higher than his chances of being the WR2 (outside of injury).

I hope that we remember Muth is on the team when we play teams other than the Bengals.

I think early results show McCarthy is willing to gamble a throw over the middle vs a turnover more than we have seen in the previous half dozen years. Hopefully it continues and isnt just a wasted drill during camp.

Will he break the NFL fastest time-to-throw seasonal record set by Roethlisberger in 2020?

What’s funny is that he was listed at his rookie weight of 240 lbs. for his whole career. Yeah right….

I've seen Jack Sperry takes. He is a good on air talent and knows his football. If the season started next Sunday, Roman would be the #2 WR in terms of total targets, ahead of Pittman. He is standing out and looks a star in the making.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson is trade bait and gets dealt before the season.

I would be very surprised if he is traded next year. Wilson is a cheap player on his first contract with the arrow point upwards. Those types are not traded often.

They may feel Wilson represents what they have gotten the last two seasons and want to capitalize on the feel good camp vibes.

If they hadnt drafted Bernard I would say no way but his presence here does make it a possibility.

Any player can be traded if the right offer comes in. You mentioned a possible Wilson trade next year. By then, the 2026 summer camp vibes will matter far less than what he actually produces during the 2026 season.

Bernard still has a lot to prove. Down the road we’re going to need to move on from DK’s contract. I really didn’t want to draft a receiver high in 2026 (we used a 2nd-rounder and a 4th-rounder on Bernard). I mostly pushed back because I still really believe in Wilson’s game. Noting against Bernard, I think he is more of a chain mover, not a player that is tough for a defense to match up with.

I would be very surprised if he get dealt this season. I put the odds of that happening at 20-1.

Experimenting with Darnell Washington at fullback has got to be terrifying for nfl linebackers across the league

Ultimately I think it will come down to how much say McCarthy eventually has in building his roster. They rode CA3 through back to back injuries and then worked himself into playing shape, kept him despite evidence that he wasn't the speed demon they had thought he was until letting him walk this off season. If its Kahn making those choices id say Wilson is held until his deal expires, if McCarthy stacks some wins and gets more clout then its a crap shoot whether he stays or not.

Probably not but he hasnt had the trust of Rodgers and he’s getting a lot of camp hype, makes me wonder.

I don't expect Wilson to be WR2, but I was telling fans on here last year not to write Wilson off.
