This isn’t the 90’s where a backup QB sticks around for 6 years with the same team and proves value.

As long as the check clears and you have a chance to play if a QB goes down you are no worse off in Philly, Carolina, Tampa, etc..

Repeating your spin doesn't make it right.

It’s called sarcasm in response to your overprotectiveness of Pickett.

You werent even on this board when the majority of Pickett conversations took place so are you just carrying arguments from the place you came from and assigning them to everyone here? I know I never said Pickett would be out of the league soon although in light of seeing teams treat him like a hot potato I wouldnt doubt it now.

Teams still value a good BU if they have one. Obviously no team has looked at Kenny and said, this is a guy that can keep us afloat if our starter goes down.

So he’s not a starter and he’s proving he isnt even BU material, at what point do you acknowledge hes just no good. Seems like a nice kid, just not an NFL QB.

I agree with some of that, over drafted for sure, bad situation definitely but there was never anything that showed he really could run an offense. I think the kiss of death for him and where I really had to face facts was when Rudolph came in and the offense looked so much better. I tried to defend that at first but the more time that went on and then seeing how he handled the signing of Wilson and then the Steelers shipping him off so fast, it all added up to Pickett not having what it takes to play at this level.

There is no chance in the world that they trade Pickett if they thought he just needed time to learn the game. They realized they made a mistake and Pickett made it easy on them to move on from him.
