    Never ever got into soccer
People claim ice hockey is boring
Soccer is like watching paint dry
They definitely could make soccer more action based by shortening the field
    Plus
Extra time? How much time? Only the refs know
All of a sudden game ends?!?
    Should’ve put stoppage time

    +1

Extra time is a 30-minute tie-breaking period (two 15-minute halves) played if a knockout-stage match is tied after regulation. Teams play the full 30 minutes without sudden death, and if the score remains tied, the game proceeds to a penalty shootout to determine the winner. [1]

    The Basics of Extra Time
    • Format: Extra time consists of two 15-minute periods, with a short break (about 5 minutes) at the end of 90 minutes of regulation, and a 1-minute breather in between the two 15-minute halves to switch sides. [1]
    • Stoppage Time: Just like in regular time, referees can add "stoppage time" at the end of each 15-minute period for injuries, substitutions, and time-wasting. [1, 2]
    • No Golden Goal: The entire 30 minutes is played out. If one team scores, the game does not immediately end (the "golden goal" rule is no longer used). The other team has the remainder of extra time to equalize or take the lead. [1, 2]
    • Substitutions: Teams are usually granted an additional substitution to use during this period.[1, 2]
    • Penalty Shootout: If the score is still level at the end of the full 120 minutes (90 minutes regulation + 30 minutes extra time), the match is decided by a penalty shootout. [1, 2]
    • I guess stoppage time is only the refs know how long it is

Which would you rather see, Steelers, or Pirates win another championship if You had to choose?

I rather watch Hockey, and I played soccer for a year in the 9th grade. I have never played Hockey, but I find it more entertaining. JMO

    Right now
    My personal take
    Pirates win another Championship
    Honestly
    Pirates make the playoffs
    Been a long time coming
My first love and still is baseball
Nothing like listening to a baseball game on the radio while camping as a kid
Still holds true as an adult

My hope would be the Pirates, but it ain't happening at least under this ownership and lack of MLB salary cap. No parity. Interestingly, the Bucs won each of their last 3 WS, each 7 game series. The Steelers have only won 2 of their last 3 SBs. Apples and oranges but...........

It's not even close. I was born and raised on the Pirates. NFL was not real big in the 60's. If I could see one more Pittsburgh Championship before my end I want it to be Pirates.

They definitely need to have a cap!
Unfair to all us small market teams
    Adding
Ownership has been crap in the past to say the least
    But
Ownership definitely addressed a lot of issues this past season
    But
    To further their upward projection
They need to get a closer
No salary cap is the #1 killer of our beloved Pirates

I agree and I want a cap but any market team could compete if they had an owner with deep pockets. As I type this the best record in MLB belongs to little old Milwaukee.

I think our battling Bucs are postponed due to nasty weather in NY. DH tomorrow.

    Also,
Owner is in it to make a profit
    Pirate stadium not that big
    39,000 seats?
    But I see your point
Like I said they did good this offseason
Need to be aggressive and get a good closer
Call me crazy or paint me crazy
    Cruz is attractive trade bait
    Guy can’t play the field
    Bat has improved
    But for how long
It’s early but we have young up n comers knocking the stuffing out of the ball right now
    Outfield is loaded right now
    Wheel n deal
    For
    Mason Miller

The team the Bucs swept just before the break. Gotta win those division games. That 4 game sweep by the Cards at home was a killer.

Bucs now get to face Cole and the newly activated Fried in today's DH. WE have Bubba and Batting Practice Pitcher Keller on the mound. Vasquez and others better be coming early and often. Hopefully Bubba and Keller can hold the Damn Yankees to a half dozen runs each game and hope for a slugfest.

    Because
    1. I root for two teams out of the same division in baseball, and...
    2. The is no hope without a salary cap I go Steelers.

I would have said that in the late 70s, and earlier 80s, but like I said in another post , I root for two teams in baseball, and they are in the same division, and the lack of salary cap makes it almost impossible, I would go Steelers

Even if they institute a salary cap I'm sure the Pirate owner will not spend anywhere near it unless mandated by the league.

BUCS! Won game 1 in extra innings thanks to the weird ghost runner. Generally on the road and having to play extra innings the Bucs lose due to sh!t BP. I gave up after 9 and didn't check again on the golf course. What a pleasant surprise to see they actually won.

I'm digging Magnum (PI). I hope when Cruz comes back they are smart enough to use him as DH ONLY!!!!
