A big component of McCarthy's offense is the slot receiver. They tried to pick Lemon for that, then settled on Germie but him being a rookie opens the door for Wilson.

Definitely works against him that he doesnt play ST but he does have a path to making the roster because of his fit in the offense.

Nope. He will play in the (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR) sets and the (1 RB, 0 TE, 4 WR) sets in September 2026.

You said the rookie won’t play early — don’t double down on that. He absolutely will. Bernard has been getting real praise from AR and the beat writers.Nice of you to finally jump on the Roman Wilson train. Some of us were believers in his game from the start.

Joel you need to read and think before you post and maybe that will help you to stop posting stuff that is not true or misquoting people

I was pro Roman before you got out of grade school

Good stuff there. Sure would like to see a side by side with Wilson. I thought I heard he was working a with a route god too?

I have said I believe he will be very good. I was extremely happy with the pick, but it will all depend on the Qb

NFL players with the most on the line in 2026: One from every team - The Athletic

Are you surprised at the Steelers' player that was nominated?

    Pittsburgh Steelers: Roman Wilson, WR
The Steelers had hoped Roman Wilson would take a leap in Year 2 to be part of the answer at WR2. However, his connection with Aaron Rodgers was inconsistent, and by the end of 2025, the former Michigan receiver slid down the depth chart, leapfrogged by late-season additions Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Adam Thielen. Wilson ended 2025 as a healthy scratch in four of the final five games. He’s been working hard this offseason to fine tune his route running and enters a pivotal third season with a prime opportunity. As the Steelers transition from Arthur Smith’s tight end-centric offense to Mike McCarthy’s scheme, the usage of 11 personnel will skyrocket and could turn the WR3 into a starter rather than a rotational piece. — Mike DeFabo

His connection with Rodgers was inconsistent? He caught 12 passes in the entire season. That's a little worse than inconsistent.

Like I said, the Steelers did a good job selling a story and quite a few folks here were suckered into believing it!

Trolling is bad enough, but at least make it relevant.
