Some people still foolishly believe he would have been as productive here as he was in Dallas. They ignore he was getting between 6 to 11 targets a game which is what kept him happy.

Here he would have been maxing out around 3 targets a game and throwing a hissy fit every week. Not to mention the first time he quit on a play would have been the last pass he saw from Rodgers.

Pickens would’ve been way more productive with Rodgers. He was stuck with Pickett and got traded for a measly 3rd-rounder. While hindsight shows he was worth a 1st.

More productive but not close to his Dallas production.

George Pickens would be at least 250 yards more productive than he was in his last season with the Steelers. Rodgers is way better than Pickett. We traded away a Pro Bowl-caliber player in his prime on a low cap number for a 3rd-round pick. Terrible move.

The steelers were last in 2025 in air yards per pass attempts.....

It was not a wide open offense like Dallas, this is for sure

He was top dog in 2024. That wouldnt have been the case after bringing Metcalf in.

So now you would have had been asking a guy who has shown he was very immature to accept being demoted to #2 plus accept his targets would have been reduced and yet people still think that would have gone over well. Even more funny people think he could have worked well with someone as demanding as Rodgers.

Once they brought DK in, Pickens was done here.

We traded a 2nd-round pick for DK Metcalf a high-cap guy who produces less and brought more drama than Pickens and then flipped Pickens for just a 3rd-rounder. That’s terrible value on both ends on both the trade and the CAP money spent.

Do you think DK is a better player? Judge them with good QB's and a better OC. Not with Pickett and Canada. Ewww...

I think Pickens is the better player now, had the better 2025, and will have the better 2026.

A narcissist is someone who exhibits a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, an excessive need for admiration, and a fundamental lack of empathy for others. They often display extreme self-centeredness, a sense of entitlement, and an inclination to manipulate or exploit those around them to feed their ego.

They traded for DK to be the top receiver. There were #2 receivers available that wouldnt have cost a #2 pick and that contract.

There is no way Pickens would have been happy getting 3 targets a game. It was a low level passing attack, the targets simply wouldnt have been there. As soon as he started with his antics, Rodgers never would have looked his way again.

Now if you want to make the argument that they should have never brought DK in and kept Pickens, I think that is a stronger argument. Maybe that would have kept Pickens happy and better behaved like he was in Dallas but I doubt it because teams would have taken him out of the game the same way they did DK with no one else to worry about.

Either way, his numbers would have never approached what he put up in Dallas.

Hell his numbers may not have been what they were in Dallas if CD Lamb wasn't out for 4 games. We will never know

What are you talking about? You really think George Pickens would only get 3 targets a game with the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers?!? George Pickens averaged 6.62 targets per game across his three-season tenure with the Steelers. In his final year there (2024), his usage jumped even higher to 7.36 targets per game across 14 appearances before he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys.

Dude All-Pro is wayyyyyy different than being a Pro Bowl alternate.

2025 All-Pro WR George Pickens. I don't think you will ever see the name Shedeur Sanders in the same sentence as the term All-Pro.:roflmao:

Misleading. Doesn’t account for the games DJ was out plus it includes all of last season where he was the top receiver.

Do you know what those numbers are? DK’s targets per game last season. Now tell me how many targets do you see Pickens getting?

He never would have produced the same way here and would have been another year of distracting bs from him.
