It is funny, one of the greatest compliments given to Tomlin this offseason, or last, was when one announcer said the Steelers would have a tough time recruiting a high profile QB because the Steelers roster was only a 7 win team's roster.

I thought to myself that this was true for a very long time. Every year since Ben was injured the Steelers had the talent of a 7 win team, and then Tomlin would work his magic and turn those 7 wins into 9 or 10 wins. :)

What is kind of funny is that Tomlin's mediocrity will permeate this organization for a while just like Cowher's over achieving drive lasted long enough for Tomlin to ride to a SB victory.

The only reason the Steelers current talent pool is rated at 7 games is because the stench of mediocrity still lingers.

If you ask me if Mike Tomlin had been coaching the Chiefs last year, they probably still would have won 9 games. Not completely failed and ended up with a top 10 draft pick.

If Andy was coaching the Steelers and doing the Play Calling, we would have finished with the same regular season record. Andy would have been able to get more out of Rodgers in the playoff game, and the Steelers would have beat the Texans and won their 1st playoff game in a very long time.

Yeah, the Steelers still win the North, and go into the Playoffs and beat the Texans.

Something also tells me Jonnu Smith is not a member of the 2025 team, and the Steelers let their WRs of DK Metcalf and George Pickens carry them to the Super Bowl. :)

Possible but they would not win 3 super bowl with 5 super bowl berth since 2019 too.Reid has always been great with the QBs and Tomlin was happy with a Matt Canada or Arthur Smith caliber OC

I am not sure how good the OC has to be under Reid. According to the "Internet" Reid calls the plays and designs the game plan for every week.

    AI Overview

Yes, Andy Reid calls the offensive plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. While he heavily collaborates with his offensive coordinator—such as when Eric Bieniemy returned to the role—Reid retains ultimate control, sets the game plan, and calls the majority of the plays.
