Nope. You've got one person doing it, and me pointing out the irony.

I haven't taken a real train, and when I say real , I mean from state to state, since I rode one from Chicago to Nashville Tennessee.

very cool. Have you ever been to the age of steam roundhouse? It's in sugar creek ohio. Nice day trip and mrs. Jeh could do some shopping. It's in Amish country. Probably a couple of hours from you. You can look it up on its website.

My brother took an Amtrak from Virginia to New Orleans. They served meals on a table in their compartment that folded down onto the toilet. Nice.

    It’s on my agenda

We have relatives in Columbus and I want to go by there coming or going but somehow the days or hours they are open don’t seem to align

I also want to stop at Steamtown Scranton. I literally drove by it last summer on the way to a wedding but most of it is outdoors and I was driving in a monsoon so we kept going.

Cumbersome and Toltec in Chama NM was realy nice, they had 5 steam locomotives fired up the day I was there.

Had to be Memphis unless it was in the early 70's.
One thing Nashville could use is a train

I rode Amtrak once and will never do it again. We rode from Pittsburgh to Atlanta and when we switched trains in Washington DC the trained was overbooked and we had to stand for hours until there were vacant seats.

We watched it pass through Altoona's Horseshoe Curve on YouTube Saturday morning (6:30am PDT) via the Live Rail Cam they have in place. Very Cool. I've seen it twice up close and personal when it passed through the Mojave Desert on it's way back to Cheyenne Wyoming. It's huge! My Lady now wants me to get the replica for my N scale layout. probably way too pricey. I have the Durango-Silverton full model train that I've ridden twice though the Rockies as well as the Swiss Glacier Express. My brothers and I call it rail geeking when we go out to the middle of nowhere and watch mile long trains traverse the Mojave near Amboy and Kelso.

I rode several of those as well as several cog railroads. Also caught the Pendolino Bullet Train down to Florence from northern Italy. Loved all those trains in Switzerland. The gondolas up the Alps in the summer were pretty awesome as well. Wonderful country and vistas everywhere.
