Did I ever tell the story of how I hung out, and met them before Phil was the singer??.
I had a buddy that was a bass player for a local band that knew them well. I believe the band was called Romeo Nights/Knights, or something like that, they were a band that did Bowie, and stuff like that, but they knew Pantera, and so He introduced me to them because He thought we would get along because we had the same taste in music, and of course they weren't big yet, and about 7 years later Im watching Headbangers Ball , and there they are. I was like wow. Of course their music had changed quite a lot by then.

 

No they had both used two of the same people at one time on both bands. Skunk Baxter(Guitar), and Michael McDonald.

Yeah, I never really paid attention to Pantera much, and one time I decided to listen from the beginning of their discography.......quite a shock hearing that glam metal first album when I was expecting something completely different
