I guess that's one opinion. Not one rooted in reality, but it's an opinion.

 

Even great pitchers have rough stretches of games. Doug Drabek had about a month that he sucked the year he won the Cy Young.

already heard some people wondering what we can get for Skenes.I do not think he will win us a world series and Keller is starting to be awful to.

 

I believe Lou Gerig bested the 30 mark.

 

I'm guessing the Bucs will be below .500 come the ASB. We have the Phillies, Braves and Brewers before the break.

Tried posting this before Friday nights game but the MB was out of order. Anyhow heres my early thoughts Friday afternoon.

"Nice starting and relief pitching these last 2 games against a "1st Place Team" (LOL), both W's. Can't believe the Pirates are tied with the billion dollar payroll Dodgers for the most hits on MLB so far. It's all those unrealized RISP that have really killed them this year (please don't mention the BP). First time since their last playoff year in 2015 that they're at or over .500 at the halfway point (81 games). So that's nice. Hope they can feast on the Redlegs this weekend. Griffin had a HR and triple in his first game back in Altoona last night. Nice to see."

So now even though they lost Friday night with a less than stellar Skenes and late bullpen, the surprise return of Griffin was exciting and the comeback was super. Too bad they couldn't get the W. Today they go against a 9-1 pitcher. Ugh.

 

I was pissed the night Keller pitched. Keller gave the runs up but the BP finally shut the door but alas we could not score anymore runs. Then sort of deja-vu, BP comes through for Skenes but alas matey, we could not score anymore runs. As much as he drives me crazy I miss Cruz. Konnor and Cruz out and we are still scoring runs. I do believe we'd have better record with Cruz and Konnor with a K in line-up. No more injuries and shore up the pitching a bit and the Bucs could make a play for a WC spot. Braves, Dodgers, Brewers and Phillies take up 4 spots.

Now comes trouble. Phillies, Braves and Brewers before break. We hit the ASB at .500 I'll have a bit of hope. I have a little bit of faith Nutbag won't do a salary dump at the trade deadline. Only because there most likely won't be a 2027 MLB season. As always: BEAT EM BUCS!!!!!
