Yeah and I could get past the gambling mistakes as someone who also had to learn damn near every lesson the hard way. If the team thinks he's smart enough to learn from it then rolling the dice on him is understandable. But in this league I don't think you can be a QB if you're fragile mentally with pressure, which I think panic attacks insinuates. For myself that's a definite no-go.

The reason he isn’t staying in college is because it would’ve set a bad precedent and teams were threatening to boycott playing them. The original judge recused himself because he went to Texas Tech but it smells like this was a favor to him.

I also heard that the timeline for entering the supplemental draft was such that he could have lost an appeal to be reinstated.

And if that happened it would have come after he could have announced eligibility. So he could have been in the case where he didn't ask to be in the supplemental draft, lost the appeal, then been unavailable for the supplemental draft and the NCAA.**

Regardless, I think he's probably out of reasonable reach for the Steelers if he's in the supplemental draft.

** I'm not sure what would happen in this case. Can a player in a situation like that just get picked up as a UFA? Or do you have to have been eligible for an NFL draft to eventually play in the NFL? The league (basically all leagues) must have rules for this. Because otherwise, why would any high value prospect go through the draft. Just don't enter the draft and sign as a UFA after so (1) you don't get stuck in CLE and (2) you get to individually negotiate your salary instead of the slotted rookie salaries.

Yes, I cannot imagine a 330 pound angry man about to knock him on his ass would make him panic ;)

You know I was thinking this morning if they did put in a big bid on this kid, what would it do to all the people on here that have lived on the fluff pieces about Howard, and Allar??
I just can't see them making a bid for him with two other Qb on the team already we haven't seen play a NFL snap.

It will be hard to find enough quality snaps in camp/preseason for Howard and Allar

I dont believe they have and unless they plan on carrying 4 QBs they likely wont put a bid in this draft either.

They did mention they might carry 4 but that would be so they could keep an experienced BU on the roster.

This Sorsby is not even as talented as
    Howard
    Or
    Allar

They would be dumb not to

Maybe put a way low ball offer out and what do you really have to lose other than a lack of available training camp snaps

But he is certainly nit someone you want to give a big signing bonus to

    No.

    Never.

If anything, the NFL has not selected a player from the Supplemental Draft since 2019.

Nutcase is not my only issue.

His overall mechanics are horrific. He makes Drew Allars mechanics look like Peyton Mannings.
