You read stuff that isn't there. I see no 'blame'. I see Chargers were first with it, Steelers took it to another level. If there is blame to shovel out it's with the league.

Theyre picking on the steelers because they were the team of that decade but everyone was doing it,

that Orange Crush defense in Denver for instance wasn't juiced on Orange juice (Remember Lyle Alzado)

I wasn't saying you or anyone else here was blaming the Steelers, but some people seem to do exactly that.

There are Olympic style games now that do not ban anything. It was the times back then, but Brad should not inject himself into something that will cause him to defend what he rightfully claims as his legacy of 4 SB titles.

Funny part is I read that many of the events were won by athletes that were not dosing.

The best example of how the leagues "handle" this is steroid scandal in baseball. How did that all start? Mark McGwire was standing at his locker doing a postgame interview with the bottle just sitting on his shelf in the open. A reporter asked him about it and he answered nonchalantly because that's how accepted it was. Suddenly a fuss was kicked up and it became the big taboo overnight. Players were thrown to the wolves, suspended, there were senate (or congressional, I forget which) and the league banned players for something they already knew about because now it's in the news and showing everyone in a bad light.

It was the House of Representatives, but I think the origin of all that was more complicated than you made it out to be. The BALCO scandal was also a big part of the problem. It didn't help that the media members who were pushing to punish the players despised Barry Bonds.

I actually think they should let them all juice.

No, they really should not. Baseball keeping the PED guys out of the Hall of Fame is ridiculous. The Hall is a joke as long as Bonds isn't in there, but no sports league should be allowing it, not with the health problems those drugs cause.

It's their bodies, not yours. If everyone juices, nobody is cheating. LoL
Reminds me of a very old SNL skit about all steroid Olympics. LoL

It wasn't against the rules when most of these guys started. Hell, I do believe the narrative that Bonds didn't start until after seeing the hype for the McGwire-Sosa home run chase. He was well on his way to the Hall of Fame as a skinny Pirate.

Besides, Bonds isn't out because the voters think he cheated. He is out because they can't stand him. If it were just the cheating, Piazza and Bagwell wouldn't be in, either. There are guys who used PEDs in the Hall of Fame. I have no doubt about that.

That is the problem. If you let some use, that pressures them all to use. It's a health and safety issue.
