No Keenan Allen hasn't retired yet so they need to keep it so it sets the record for most yards and receptions by a slot reciever vs the Steelers.

The Raiders defense ranked higher than the Steelers 2 of the last 3 seasons, thats encouraging considering this will be the most talent he has had to work with as a DC.

    Uh, oh.

The Standard as diluted by Tomlin or the Standard pre-Tomlin.

I hope its THE Standard and not the watered-down, meaningless, all talk, no walk Standard that Tomlin drove into the ground.

Raiders had all-world Maxx Crosby. Crosby = Watt = Garrett

    ... prime Watt, that is.

*awaits the inevitable hilarious smilie from STD*

    The only stat that counts

The rest is lipstick on a porcupine

In points allowed Raiders were 8th from bottom

    I’m not impressed

Their starting field position was bottom 3 for their defense in each of the last 2 years for the raiders,so this is a factor. For the steelers, they were 18th for the starting field position for the defense in 2024 but they had the second best in 2025 when their opponents were starting on average at the 28 yards line vs at the 33 yards line for the raiders

The points are not just about the offense or defense for a unit. Keep being stubborn, you'll eventually learn

That was a big problem, Graham has to fix that.

It’s hard to tell what you are talking about

In LVR's defense, facing Reid/Mahomes and Harbaugh 2X a season is a tough get. But it's all about the winning the division in my mind. Here's a little table listing LVR division games with Graham as DC.

Third column is opponent's season average offensive pts/gm. Next column is pts scored against LVR. Last column just showing the difference from opponents season average. Shows he struggled against Mahomes and Herbert and was a mixed bag vs Denver.

(yes, the offense plays a part in this as well...)

This was the most disheartening part of the Steelers defense. After Slay crapped the bed their plan to play man-heavy defense fell apart.

It's good to hold the Defense to a High Standard.
The rules are against him as Goodell's NFL is geared more towards scoring and big plays.
Toss that aside for now though.

Houston's Defense last year was probably the best. (*Others are worthy also, Denver was a beast for example, but Houston just said, 'we're going to beat you up' and did)
They had two pass rushers that were going to get you no matter what.
They had guys that could clog the middle and get you in the backfield..
It was plain frustrating to call plays against that defense.
Had CJ Stroud not played so, very, very bad, painfully so.. the Super Bowl might have been different.
But if he builds a Defense similar to that, he gets best DC of 2026.

I think the intention is to get back to that this year.

    We shall see.
