Are you going to bet the Steelers over this year?

I think the Jags are the most likely to miss the playoffs. I think losing Lloyd on defense will be big.

The Chargers are also likely to miss just by history of the division. They improved their coordinators but who's playing OT?

Losing Jesse Minter isnt what I would call an improvement.

Tomlin went 10-6 his first year as HC and won the division. Didn't they have to go through the same changes as MM? Of course, they were 1 and done setting the trend early.

No. Tomlin had the same DC from previous years. Same QB from previous 3 seasons.

    I haven't decided yet.
If the HC, and coaching staff is better than Tomlin , and his coaching staff then they should win at least 10 games, but I'm on the fence of whether they actually are better. Some are making excuses already, but I'm not buying that $hit.
McVay, K. Shanahan, Vrabel, Andy Reid, and many other RIGHT HCs didn't have a worse record when they came in their 1st year, and blame it on having to change things. Everyone of them had to change things, and their records were better than the previous one before they came. So if McCarthy is the right guy we will win at least 10 games, or more. No excuses. Problem is , as of yet I'm not sure he is the right guy,, but man I sure hope he is.

I didn't hear Vrabel, McVay, K. Shanahan, Andy Reid, or many others use the , we have to change a bunch, and all of them had to change a bunch, and all of them had better records than the year before they came. Because they were the right hires. No excuses for McCarthy , if he is that guy we will win at least 10 games, or more, if not....

Year one is not the only year who matter....McCarthy was 8-8 in the first years in Green Bay(they had a 4-8 start) but they finish at 13-3 the year after, almost make to the super bowl.He won the super bowl in year 5

With Dallas,6-10 in the first year(after a 8-8 season with Jason Garrett in 2019)but 3 straight 12-5 season after that.Of course the cowboys were horrible in the playoffs.....I am also not sure McCarthy is the right guy but if you look at the history of McCarthy, year 2 was much better that year 1 in his first 2 stop

Don't try using that bull, his starting Qb(Dak)only played 5 games his 1st year in Dallas, so you can throw that out, and his 1st Year in GB he won more games than they did the previous year before he got there.....so....your example backs what I'm saying.

The Cowboys were awful even with Dak in 2020.They were 1-3(they were lucky to win their only game, since it take a typical Falcons choke) and in game 5,Dak had a season ending injury. They were also in a awful division, maybe the worst division in NFL history, the Giants had a chance to win the nfc east at 6-10...In 2022,Dak was out from week 2 to week 6 and they were 4-1 in those games. That wouldn't have happened in year 1 under McCarthy

I can name several great coach like Noll,Jimmy Johnson,Bill Walsh,Dick Vermeil with the rams,Bill Belichick in New England who had the same and worst record the year before in their first year and become great after that.I can name several others

I feel like they brought in MM to find the next franchise QB and build the team around him. MM is currently 62 years old and is signed for 5 seasons. I don't see another contract coming his way after that. Maybe he moves to the FO?
There could be some struggles while this gets figured out though. I'm looking at this like if he finds the next long term franchise QB, build the trenches, and gets the offense on track, we'll get another young, up and coming defensive HC and begin our next dynasty.
This is going to be fun to watch b

Not so sure they go back to a defensive HC especially if they get the offense rolling under MM and do well.

Unless of course the achilles heel becomes the defense and undermines the team. I feel good about Graham though.

In the NFC... Packers and Eagles

Packers just miss at 10-7... Eagles go into another tailspiin, Siriani fired. Eagles get a new coach and win the Super Bowl again in 2029. Eagles are the anti-Redskins of the 80's. They win Super Bowls with different QBs AND different head coaches.

I think under Mikey T. Steelers have won over 8.5 every season since 2019. I believe it is set at 8.5 for 2026. I've bet the over every season since State introduced legal gambling. Illegal was way more fun.

Out of weird ass respect for Tomlin I'm betting the under for the first time. Won't mind losing at all if McCarthy gets this team in Playoffs.

Commanders, Giants and then Cowboys. I think Commanders bounce back this year. Last year, they were snake-bitten with injuries.

LoL. I can't believe You, and whomever hit winner didn't get this. Belichick was before this century when he came to the Pats. This century started in 2001.

I heard my 20 year old granddaughter talking to her friends and told them a guy born in 1999 asked her out on a date. Her friends were like "Ewwww!" I can't believe a guy that old asked you out!" They all acted like he was 57 instead of 27 because his birth year started with 19.
