I don't think Johnson has anywhere near that level of talent, but writing a player off due to one boneheaded mistake is foolish. Foster is a great example of that.

    Yes no maybe

When Roman is lined up in the slot runs a seem route wide open and is waving his hand you throw him the football for the long gain or TD

You can work on the route afterwards

    And I watched this happening

Best draft I've seen by the Steelers in a long while. I am surprised, because I've never looked at McCarthy as one of those coaches who improves the player evaluation side. But for whatever reason he and Khan seem to make a good pair.

Iheanachor was one of the best performers during Senior Bowl week, a solid OT addition in a weak tackle class. Bernard was a steal, the kind of wideout we never end up with, he's stable, talented, and productive and not out of his mind. Everette's a bit of a dev challenge but has all the tools and the right mentality. Dunker's going to be a solid starting piece on this line for years once he gets into the lineup. And where this draft haul really shines is in its depth. Wetjen's a special returner. Nowakowski can play at this level and where they got him shows the depth of this TE class. Rubio's a rotational DL addition. Jennings has the tools and is a strong leadership type. And Heidenreich is a legit joker type, also outstanding quality for where they got him.

This is the type of draft that will propel a team into playoff contention for a few years. And it adds enough for this year's run to where I find myself wondering what it looks like if the old man can stay healthy this season at QB.

But I saw it more than once

So maybe he was running the route

Maybe he was open because the other team knew he wasn’t going to get thrown to

I was not surprised when the Steelers went with drafting 10 players this year.

I will also not be surprised when we see a lot of Tomlin draft picks hitting the road when the team announces their 53-man roster. I feel like the guys making the roster for their special team abilities under Tomlin and Danny Smith, may find themselves unemployed before the season starts.

There clearly was a reason why the Steelers drafted a WR in Rd2. The draft might have been different if Roman showed something last season.

Carolina Panthers expansion team trades, and he never played for them, and then later that year Bengals picked him up because of injuries, but he changed his mind , and never played for them either. He's was a Razorbacks so I remember.
Also difference in KJ, and Foster, the Ball actually touched KJ so he had no excuse.

That's like a guy a worked with celebrating his 30 years working.
But the way he worked it was more like 1 year of experience 30X....;)

Everyone on offense that is still on the team deserves a chance with this new coaching staff.

I’m looking forward to seeing if we can scheme more people open now that we finally have a HC on the offensive side.
