It's about time. Unfortunately, so much damage has been done. My daughter's friend(public school student) does not know what the word plural means or how many states are in the US. She is a freshman in high school.

I was at PT and a high school age girl was doing some therapy and the therapist told her to do it for 10 minutes

I looked up at the analog clock with the big hand and the little hand and thought here it comes

Then the girl looks at the clock bewildered and says “how will I know how long 10 minutes is?”

I’m cleaning out my house of anything I don’t use anymore and took almost my entire library of books to half price books

After going through them they gave me enough money to buy one beer at the gyro place down the street

Hard to believe that no one wants a fine hardcover first edition book on thermodynamics or astrophysics

I put no creedence to any budget constraints. Tomlin was THE man and getting paid well. Had he demanded a certain OC be hired and paid accordingly, he would have gotten that without much, if any, pushback. OC's are affordable compared to HCs salaries.

Many on here have noted and so have team reporters, that Tomlin liked comfort and I'd say he liked OC/DCs he could "control" and that wouldn't argue with him. He went for internal promotions and push-overs instead of going out and getting OC and DCs that would challenge him even override him (my way or the highway Coach T, choose).

Lol. If your thoughts and feelings are true, that means Tomlin won a lot of games doing it his way with bad coaches around him and players playing out of position. That's a pretty amazing feat for one man. Lol.

Some coaches rely more on coordinators to handle most game day decisions. Other coaches want to be the play caller for the offense or the defense. But coaches that act tyrannical with a just do what I tell you and shut up mentality do not last. So, some of each can exist in one coach, but no coach is all or none. Not for long anyway.

We certainly know that many (most?) coordinators he hired were average at best.

We also know that Rooney is more budget constrained than most NFL owners.

But this isn't to absolve Tomlin. I think he was the 3rd highest paid HC in the league. Selecting coordinators is the job of the HC. And not something we did well.

Now we'll see how MM does.
