I'm not really for a huge slate of international games either. But I have to say, I really enjoyed travelling to watch the Steelers in Ireland. So, I have mixed feelings on the whole thing.

I think the international games should be limited and "special" rather than ever-expanding. But that's not the way the NFL seems to operate. Whatever they can do to earn more money seems to be the goal.

It's the way of sports in general. Look at what the World Cup is generating in the US this year. I mean, tickets starting at $3500?! (and they are being scooped up).

Yeah, though the world cup has world teams in it. The NFL is still an American-only sport, despite past attempts at expanding it.

And ouch on the world cup tickets. No way I'd drop anywhere near that amount on any sport.

Does this count as a road game or home game for Steelers?

So how would teams in Europe compete in the US? Would you have two leagues like the AFL and NFL? The travel would be brutal. If you played two games in a row in the US you would be flying back and forth for hours to play those games. I guess smarter folks than me can fibure it out.

Didn't one team stay in Europe for two games last season?

I guess. but that's different than a team playing on another continent. Guess we'll see how it works out

    Two things to remember:
    A) It is illegal to sell alcohol at the Stade de France. They can put in for a waiver, but they are limited in the number they can receive a year.
    B) American tourists are discouraged from beating up pickpockets.

Did the exact same thing to the Steelers last season. Came home from Ireland and had to play the Browns. NFL must feel so sorry for Browns fans...trying to give them every advantage they can think of.

I believe Jacksonville are staying for two games out of the states this year, so a unfair advantage for them, but also an advantage to whomever plays them when they come back, so I guess it kinda evens it up a bit.

I think the endgame is for a new NFL Europe as opposed to that traveling nightmare you conjured.
