Coincidentally enough, for me, my floor comp for him is a more athletic Oher.

They might, but having a year under his belt on the right side, they may not want to move him but the right side is where Max has played and they might not want to put more on his plate by moving him. We’ll see what they decide.

I remember Rodgers raving about the right side of the line though, I could see them leaving it that way.

Yep. We're all just guessing which side they will use him at this point. We'll find out soon enough.

I would suggest that we MUST try Max at left as his natural talent (pass blocking featuring his quick feet in lateral sliding mirroring elite pass rushers) lends itself to the role of left tackle even if it delays his becoming a starter. I would suggest that "players natural position" is less "natural" than "familiar" (playing right tackle since high school). This dude "lack" of experience might play in his favor in the switch as he likely is less set in his ways.
If we think long term, Max has the "tools" to be elite on the left. Fautanu may be servicable, or even pretty good on the left where he is proven and HAS experience, but simply does not have those gifts that elite left tackles have like Max does. If it fails so be it, but I would hate to not try Max at the position he seems to have the prototypical tools to excel at.

Says he is more comfortable at right but his old coach says he is capable of playing left.

I think they will move Troy back to his natural position and keep Max at his.

They had trouble with calling coverages and communication last year. Was that Ramsey? I remember alot of missed tackles too

    My thought as well.

If Pittsburgh doesn't want to repeat the Broderick Jones Fiasco again, put Max at Right Tackle should he prove himself worthy of the spot. Let him take his lumps soon thereafter. See how he develops.

If anything, I wonder if how the Steelers handled Broderick Jones was a major reason why the team didn't elect to trade up for Monroe Freeling. As I have outlined him multiple times, Morgan is basically a supercharged Broderick; for better and for worse.
