Should the Steelers run it back with Rodgers or not?

I would prefer they didn't. I'm ready to see what the new guys can do.

Rodgers is not the QB he once was. But he is far better than the remainder of that QB room.

I expect part of the plan this offseason was to add weapons to the offense to ensure he would return willingly. And the Steelers now have those weapons. Pittman is not a gamebreaker, but he adds quality outside the hash. And Bernard was an excellent addition for the slot. Wetjen adds to depth.

And then you have the RB room, which is excellent with Dowdle added to Warren, and Heidenreich as a change of pace who can flex to the wideout positions. TE remains solid.

I will be surprised if Rodgers drags his feet this year. My guess is he will be excited for this season in this offense.

Ignore Rodgers last year results. Sorry, but our awful, terrible offensive coaching was an albatross around ARs neck and only one or two QBs starting today could have overcame it and had a pro-bowl season regardless.

He's pretty old these days, so yeah, tank might only be 60 or 70% full, but with a REAL offense (distinct possibility with Coaching nimrods gone) he'd be an above-average QB, maybe not top 5 or top 8, but definitely top 12.
That would allow Allar and Howard to come along with lots of reps over the next few months and if AR gets hobbled, hopefully one will be more than ready to fill in come say October or November.

LoL. I can't help but laugh every time someone brings up McVey developing Stafford. LoL a Qb that has been a starter in the NFL for 12 years .

How many Super Bowl wins or much less.... playoff wins did Stafford obtain while in Detroit? Yes... he was developed by McVey whether you want to admit it or not.

I would also put Darnold in this category with Kubiak/MacDonald. Darnold had much better coaching in Seattle and Minnesota than he did in New York. Obviously.

LoL. See how You , and your cronies like to move the goal post. You guy change with the win, and the sad thing is you don't even notice it. LoL.
You aren't developing a Qb that has been a starter in the league for 12 years. LoL You are putting him on a better team. I can't believe you actually even said this.

Seahawks and Vikings put Darnold in a position to win. Jets and Panthers failed to do this. Likewise with Stafford and Rams. Lions failed Stafford...not the other way around.

You know I'm right. You keep losing debates with me.
