    B- for the players

C, Just looking at the process of when certain players were taken, the first round fumble, and a couple players I liked that weren't taken (probably a good thing LOL)

Taking into account their draft position value and who was available on the board:

    1) Max Iheanachor - A-
    2) Germie Bernard - A+
    3) Drew Allar, QB - F
    4) Daylen Everette - B
    5) Gennings Dunker - B-
    6) Kayden Wetjen - F
    7) Riley Nowakowski - C+
    8) Gabe Rubio - C-
    9) Robert Spears-Jennings - B+
    10) Eli Heidenreich - A

Iheanachor and Bernard should be great additions to the team for many years. Biggest question marks are Everette, Dunker, Wetjen, and Heidenriech (really like Eli's all around skill set). Biggest wasted pick is Drew Allar (out of the league by 2028). The rest are bodies... Nowakowski, Rubio, and Jennings.

The realistic outcome that was there for us... Cooper Jr and Pregnon... instead of Iheanachor and Bernard. I actually think Iheanachor is better than Pregnon... but Cooper Jr is better than Bernard. So I'm calling it a wash. But after the 2nd Rd... the Steelers chit the bed until their last pick in Rd 7.

Well a clown like yourself might know that.

To the posters who voted A for the 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers draft, care to tell us why?

To say you are in the extreme minority ( just 6.7% ) of posters who vote is accurate.

But I for one would like to hear what you feel that way. Maybe you have a point?

I think you might be in that minority. By all means keep making me laugh.

    I picked B but I think its more C+.

    I think slightly above average.

We reached on Allar but whatever, hoping he works out for us now that he is a Steeler. Crowd was kinda meh on that pick at the draft but we shall see if he can reach his potential. James Franklin was terribly conservative but I also think it was to protect Allar from himself.

This is the finest God bless it draft this organization has had in many years. The type of draft that will put a team into the playoffs over the next handful of years.

They added two quality OL in Iheanachor and Dunker. Dunker will play inside.

They added a quality wideout who is going to give us a dependable chain mover for years in Bernard.

They added a versatile piece who can play all skill positions, a real Joker type, with a late round pick in Heidenreich. Probably my favorite pick in this draft.

They added an impact return man in Wetjen.

And look I don't think much of Allar, never have, but he's got a full tool box and his coaching wasn't too good at Penn St. He will get much better coaching now.

Drafts like this don't happen often, so buckle up buttercups.

I agree, but what so far Jones had shown us was he was average. Would he have gotten better? Of course, but how much?

The Allar hate is just crazy with all the "Will Howard" fans.

Mike McCarthy got the QB he wanted; I just don't understand why people can't see that? The sooner people come to the realization that Drew Allar is a QB Mike McCarthy "Chose" and not something he was stuck with from the previous "Owner", the better off they are going to be as Steeler Fans.

I don't see how Gabe Rubio doesn't get an F in most books.
    • Draft Position: 6th Round, 210th Overall (Pittsburgh Steelers).
    • Consensus Rank: 635th overall (many outlets had him as a low-priority draft prospect or UDFA).

That part is true. This is a McCarthy pick and not a Tomlin pick... Now, I don't think Allar is as strong of a prospect as Howard is... but he's taking the shot on the size and arm. Can't say I am surprised... I just hope that picking Allar doesn't keep us from taking a QB in 2027. If our team is bad and we pick top 10-15, we HAVE to get a QB. There's 10 or more guys in next year's draft that are better players than Allar. We can't pass up the opportunity to get a good QB prospect because we want to wait and see on the big project guy with a huge arm. My two cents at least.
