I like the player. I didn't like passing on Kilgore to trade down, but they needed a guy like this.

Love this pick at FB. WE can finally put an offense weapon on the field that knows how to lead block, and not have to run out an extra lineman.

Upgrade from Heyward, and before him Watt at FB.

He started all 15 games for the National Champions. He's a slightly bigger, slightly quicker version of Connor Heyward. TE, FB, HB and special teams he will contribute wherever needed.

Cole Payton to the Eagles. Nussmeier still not drafted yet.

You have two starting TEs so they waste a pick in hopes of having 3? They should have used this pick for something of greater need.

This draft has been a disappointment, IMO. There was so much potential. The Steelers are running around with their heads cut off. For example, they panicked that Wetjen wouldn't be there in the 6th or 7th round so they took him in the 4th.

Good that he can play H back too.

I think we're already going to have trouble finding snaps for both Washington and PF.

    I would have thought that.

Nussmeier doesnt have enough traits for him to warrant a selection over Cole Payton.

Nuss is such a more ready QB than Payton. Payton likely never makes a 53 man roster.

Major revamping of his mechanics is needed.

    True.

However, Nussmeier is severely limited in terms of his stanima and his ability to throw the deep ball. He is a short to medium range passer only. For me, his biggest issue in 2025 was his decision making. Compared to 2024, I have zero clue on what happened but he has clearly regressed in that department.

He has a spinal cyst which was the cause of his abdominal pain. I imagine that it is pretty disruptive in trying to throw a football with that.

If it werent for his measurables I would have been all over taking Nuss. I think he would fare better in a warm climate than playing in the AFC North.

This is a good, versatile football player. Nowakowski is going to be a very good player IMO.

He plays unselfishly. He runs routes and catches the ball well. He blocks well and gives great effort in everything he does. He's one of those glue guys that makes everyone better with his effort and attention to detail. He leads by example with his play, even though he doesn't always have a huge role.

    Love this pick!
