Put it this way , it's the 1st time in 5 years I'm not betting on the over/under of Steelers wins. I gotta see. I hope for awesome things to happen. I would love to say 5 years from now that McCarthy, and Company are the best coaching staff we ever had.

This is huge. To make a prediction before we know is ludicrous as that could swing results by 3 or 4 games.

Actually it is quite easy to post a baseless number
I predict a SB victory. We easily crush the Phins record because we will be undefeated over a longer season

I have made some nice money betting on Steeler win total over the years as you have, I know how I am leaning and have already stated my thoughts.
I just want to hear other people's thoughts but there to chicken to give a prediction

Wow a 10-7 record last year and improved their roster. You must be tanking for that Qb.

Possible my current prediction is a overreaction from last night, but as for roster improvements, I hear that every year for the past few years and the result is always similar, so I'm not buying it... I also think the Bengals and Ravens will be better if their QBs stay healthy, but that's a big if

One thing is sure, unless Will Howard become a potential true franchise QB,it would be better in the long run to have a top 10 pick instead to finish with the 7th best record in the AFC and drafted 21st again. But hard to have hope with the current Rooney as owner,he is just awful at this point and just happy to make the playoffs even if the wild card game are always a true disaster

An improved roster on paper with Pittman, Dowdle, Dean, Brisker but also some bigger question marks at QB, OL, DL, and aging superstars on D namely Watt, Heyward, Slay. Assuming AR comes back for his 87th season, can he stop throwing in the dirt and missing wide open WRs? Can he not be afraid of being hit causing him to throw early and not go through his progression? Can the OL give him enough time in the pocket to be comfortable? What does the O scheme and strategy look like with new HC and OC? Still way too many questions for me to make any predictions.

Is it too early to start a Fire McCarthy thread?

Sad part about how this is likely to end with Mike McCarthy is he will be ostracized and ridiculed for something that ownership has allowed to fester for a very long time. That’s doing just enough to hope instead of getting uncomfortable and going for the big prizes.
Mike McCarthy is a Pittsburgh kid who is everything you want in a good man and person. Pretty good to great on the offensive side of the ball but still unknown in being really good elsewhere. That’s not good on a team that doesn’t have the tools, HE NEEDS, to make what he’s really good at, work.

I worry that he will end up resenting his favorite team growing up and Pittsburgh fans will look at him the same way.

The Steelers remind me of some of my friends who took the corporate job, made sure the 401k is there but their lives have been tied to safety of making someone else money and they’ve spend 70% of their lives in that then anything else. Just playing it safe. And now they have an ok life, not struggling but still are working and still at the behest of some boss when they had the talent to go out on their own and really control their time.

Drafting offensive lineman when you don’t have a QB is stupid. Especially when you keep doing it and it and you still don’t have a QB.

Steelers are just an average organization with no personality anymore and weak leadership. Steelers are gonna have to get lucky to get the next game changer. Because it’s obvious those in charge of bringing talent in don’t have a clue how to get it.
