Well after 5 zip Nats I turned off the MLB simulated game. Just turned it back on and it's now 6-5 Bucs with a 3 run dinger from Scribe's sleeper, Ozuna and a triple/RBI by Konnor and double/RBI by Cruz. Whoa Daddy. Now Nats have bases loaded in 7th.

Spoke too soon. Now 7-6 Nats due to horrible relief pitching by Bucs. Hopefully our bats stay hot and the remainder bullpen toughens up.

Terrible defense. We deserve to lose this game and I'm guessing we will.

Only sport bright spot today is LIV Golf in trouble. Suck it Greg Norman! Suck it Phil Mickelson!

Got out of bases loaded jam with no outs. Now we need a run in bottom half.

BUCS tie it up and Cruz should have tried to score game winner.

Ghost runner scores for Nats. 8-7 in tenth.

Bucs deserve to lose this game. Some single A mistakes.

Ozuna has always been an odd hitter and he is old enough that the decline could hit fast, but he is still useful.

8-2 in their last 10 TB Rays come to the Burgh. 2 out of 3 would be a miracle after that debacle I witnessed against the Nats. With 8.5% of season in the books your Pittsburgh Pirates stand tied with Reds in the exciting NLC. Hang on boys;)

    Oh yeah, F the Dodgers!

Funny about Cruz:) A more intelligent player would have scored the winning run against the Nats Thursday afternoon. I got excited with his start for sure but my fellow Buc friends and I keep waiting for the Cruz we know to show up. All hands were on deck yesterday for a big time cringe worthy game . From 5th inning on it was cussing and cringing with a few moments of hope sprinkled in.

Tough series again with no off days this past week. I figured the Nats 4 games would be tough the way they totally dominated the then 1st Place Brewfarts last weekend. Glad we at least pushed even against Nats. Glad though the Rays games are at home - Bucs and Steelers usually suck down south in FLA. Funny how with the NLC all bunched up, you could lose one or 2 games and go from 1st to last place instantly. We have a bunch of Division games (10) coming up against the Cards, Brewers and Redlegs - that's when games really count and separation begins one way or the other. 4-2 against Central so far, hope they keep that up. :thumbs up:

Griffin on the plus side of the Mendoza line at .214 and Ozuna now above the Suwinski line at .127 or double where he was 4 games ago. We grade on improvement around here. 3 guys still over .300. Don't mind Lowe's average dropping down to the .260's as long as he keeps knocking them out of the park at critical times.
