Probably so I hope they package picks and move up and let another Team pick a bunch of space wasters ..

Like others, I hope the Steelers make deals/trades for more equity for next year's draft.
I can realistically see only 6 players needed in this draft, after that very hit and miss. I would target teams with minimal amount of picks and depth on their roster. We need game changers/difference makers.

If his agent tells him that, his agent gets fired and a negative reputation.

Again, you are assuming the same ethical response that you would take. I happen to agree with that response.

But I do not ascribe that level of ethics and/or integrity to just about anyone associated with making and putting out NFL content.

I’ve read from multiple sources that teams are highly reluctant to giving up 2027 choices . They’re all thinking the same thing.

so what do we do with 12 draft choices this year? 12 draft choices aren’t going to make the roster..

While I agree that the Steelers need to cycle through QBs to find an arm, I’m the first to admit that repeatedly using day 2 and day 3 picks on throw away QBs destroys the depth you could be building at all the other positions.

You said the offense did nothing. That was on Tomlin and his ongoing horrible OC hires. Tomlin is football illiterate. THAT was a direct reply to the poor QB play. The wrong coordinators/head coach and even the best QB will be awful.

Yeah Ben was awful all those years.
    I will ask again.
Did Fields win more games in a season here, or before He got here, or after He left??
    Did Old Wilson??
    Did Old Rodgers??
    Did Mason??
    Did Kenny Pickett???
Don't let your hate corrupt what actually happened.

Yeah....they are going to have trade around. using all 12 is kind of a waste.

We're going to need some of them to trade up for that really good long-snapper.

Color me disappointed if this is the pick:

NFL mock draft 2026: Picks based on intel from coaches, scouts, agents - The Athletic

"21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana
Pittsburgh lost Calvin Austin but can grab the dynamic Hoosier standout, who is best remembered for his acrobatic touchdown catch, where he contorted his body in the back of the end zone to win the game at Penn State. The 6-0, 200-pounder, who ran a 4.42 40 at the combine with a 1.55-second 10-yard split, had 69 catches for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. IU coaches loved his versatility and see a lot of Deebo Samuel in his game. The former high school basketball star also has great body control, which was quite evident in his spectacular catch to beat Penn State.

“I thought he was very underrated,” said one head coach who faced IU. “There are a lot of really good receivers in the Big Ten, not just the Ohio State guys. Nobody talks about Cooper, and he wasn’t their go-to guy. Elijah Sarratt was, and then Charlie Becker comes on later in the season and makes a bunch of big plays. Cooper plays really strong and is very slick in space. You can tell he was a good basketball player. He’s so good with the ball in his hands after the catch too. He’s a problem to get on the ground.”"

Yeah, but facts are facts. Tomlin was "tone deaf" on offense.

I think solid as well , I have him as #5 on my list , I would prefer one of the top 2 on my list and I hope what I am seeing is right ..I would love 1 of those top guys and him , both our guys are near 30 we need 2 young hits at WR..

Plus I think Metcalf is in the wrong spot on the outside , he doesn't adjust well when the ball is in the air something that Cooper is excellent at ..

In a deep WR class with so many other needs I would hope they hold off until Day 2.

OR try to trade for next years picks (i.e. a 3rd this year for a 2nd next year).

And - while this reasoning might be a little stupid - I think it's a waste to draft a WR on day 1 if Rodgers (who doesn't seem to like throwing to rookie WRs) is going to be our QB.

"Wasting" the 1st year of a guy's rookie deal like that doesn't seem like great asset management.

Yes but you do not want them to draft a day 2 on day 1
There are needs and WR is one. We have halfcaf Decalf halfwit and not energizing
Pittman who has numbers falling quicker and harder than a Jake Brown big air trick gone wrong

If he is there at 21 unless Ioane or Kayden McDonald are then Cooper should be the pick

Is why you don't draft a system WR ,a WR who is more talent than precision , a WR who is not a good route runner , a WR who doesn't put in the film and practice time ..How many top rookie WR'S has AR worked with? I going to go digging a bit..

I'd be interested to see this.

Honestly, just going by what I've heard elsewhere and AR's apparent dislike of throwing balls toward Roman Wilson along with comments that he needs to always be in the right place.

Re: route running. My favorite thing to hear about a WR we draft is always "he was the viewed as the best route runner in the class".
