I know I should be following the trench philosophy, and I like Fano, but I'm going with Thieneman. Got a gut feeling he could be special.

    Dillon Thieneman, Safety, Clemson

Peter Woods from the University of Clemson gets my vote. Given how Pittsburgh doesn't really use the 3-4 much anymore anyways along with Patrick Graham being very malleable in terms of schematics will maximize Woods' skillset day one. He isn't he true 0 Tech the team needs but there are plenty of them in this draft.

What this team needs along the IDL is a bona fide ass kicker from both a penetration and disruption standpoint in the passing game. Woods is the best in the class at doing such and his limitations in the run game can easily be ironed out as he continues to refine his technique. Don't let the lack of traits concern you.

Peter Woods is the rare three down IDL who can become an All Pro in time.

Thanks for doing that, got side tracked. I added AQL vote for Woods in there.

I got to know, why are we drafting a Backup Safety for 2026 and not a starting O-Lineman? If Rogers is coming back, I would hope the 1st round pick starts from Day 1 to help Aaron Rodgers win in 2026.

Don't tell me you are hoping Rogers comes back for 2027 to make another run at it?

Right now, I like the safety depth chart, with Ramsey playing FS for his 2nd year.

DeShon Elliott is pushing 30 and coming off a knee injury. The Steelers can't bank on Elliott to be the player he was prior to the injury. The Steelers didn't go out and get Jaquan Brisker not to start him. Jalen Ramsey will most likely be the Steelers nickel corner this year, and probably not their FS. THe Steelers secondary needs to be younger and more athletic. Thieneman is a day 1 starter and will be this drafts Cooper DeJean.

    CB Joey Porter
    CB Jamal Dean
    Nickel Jalen Ramsey
    FS Dillon Thienemen
    SS Jaquan Brisker.

In this scenario, Ramsey can still fill in as FS when needed and Elliott is great depth to have playing behind Brisker.

BTW, to answer your question, yes, I am all in on a two year window with Rodgers at QB. Draft Rodgers some weapons this year, and draft Rodgers' replacement next year.

I almost voted for Concepcion or Cooper. Either would be a great pick at 21.

If we end up with Thieneman, I’d be pretty happy. I think he’s a 10 year Pro Bowl level safety starting in 2027. I voted already for Fano, so not trying to change that.

I almost voted for Thieneman, but I thought slot receiver was a bigger need than safety.
